Progress Report - November 23, 2021 (Patreon)

This progress report is insanely late, and that is almost entirely because of the top of this post's preview image. To make up for it, I have a LOT of content to share with you all - and most of it is exclusive, meaning you won't find it outside of Patreon!

It also all abandoned or unfinished but, not finishing a project doesn't mean I didn't spend time on it...

Blacklight Model - EG Why This Post Is So Late And Where The Majority Of The Past Two Weeks Of My Life Have Gone

I believe I have alluded to it in previous posts, but I have had a blacklight model in the shop for a while now. I finally decided to just buckle down and finish it. I was hoping to get it done and released by Friday, but uhh... that didn't happen.

Finally though, after two solid weeks of working on it, that blacklight model is done. Two body-types, three outfits between them (six in total), alternate textures for the character herself and all of her outfits, experimental blushing technology, full bodygroups, bodymorph, phoneme support... It's a massive amount of work.

All for a character that, by her nature, I can't publish any work of, over here on Patreon. But the model is done and released to the public, so hopefully there will be a surge of freely available content of her in the following weeks.

Dick-Down December

Amidst the soul-crushing two-week grind that was finishing the above character, I decided to explore a few different ideas for a "December" month challenge. I missed the boat on November shenanigans, and would very much like to do something for December.

So far, I've explored two ideas. Neither of them went well. But I still put time into them, so I am sharing them here with you all now.

The first idea, and more successful of the two, was Dick-Down December. This started as an anthology collection of 31 pictures of Futashep from Fraternization, you guessed it, dicking down her crew - one picture a day.

What started as the December 1 picture turned into an 18-frame comic. The December 2 picture turned into a 20-frame comic, and when I sat down and did the math, the current trajectory would suggest over 600 comic panels being made for December. I saw that number, cried, and immediately pulled the plug.

But here are the two comics that were made! The first one is fully edited - including an entirely custom Mass Effect dialogue wheel that I spent three fucking hours making. I am definitely going to need to find a way to recycle that into a different project - I am extremely happy with how it came out, and it'd be a shame to waste it. The second comic is not edited - I abandoned the project shortly after finishing posing it, and so all I have here are raw screenshots from SFM and its internal text tool.

I've considered, and am still considering, returning to the anthological root of the idea. But I'm still exploring other potential ideas, too. This failed comic effort has soured my opinion on the whole idea.

Dragon-Dick December

After the abject failure that was Dick-Down December, I was disheartened, but not disillusioned. I still want to make something for December! This next idea came about as a consequence from an unrelated discussion about my characterization of Marie Rose, the 4'10 Swedish deepthroat queen.

Specifically, the idea here is that Marie puts together a special for her stream viewers, co-starring her collection of huge Bad Dragon dildos, with the narrative of "can these forty dragons all breed me in thirty days?" Each day would have Marie playing with a different giant dragon dildo (or multiple dildos!), with a diegetic UI describing that dragon's measurements, some quirky personality details for the dragon, and whether or not he successfully managed to breed Marie (which, of course, they all do!). She'd come up with quirky justifications for non-vaginal sex, such as that dragons are able to reproduce using any hole in their body, and so dragons think they can breed humans with anal and oral sex; and fun little descriptions to go along with that day's video, such as "you haven't lived till you've had a dragon wrap his talons around your neck and choke you as he breeds your throat!"

Before I even finalized drafting out all of the different ways it could go, the cracks in the idea began to show. In fact, you can probably already foresee some of those problems now - such as "are they loops? if so, do they have cum-shots? if so, how do those loop? where does the cum come from? tubes? how does that work technically? and if they don't have cum, how are they 'breeding'?" just to name a few.

But it was when I sat down and prototyped an animation that I pulled the plug on the idea right then and there. The animation came out terribly. Beyond the technical issues of clipping or unlightable black regions, which could be fixed with enough of a time commitment, there's the bigger issue of the animation just looks bad. 

I tried to fix it, but I just don't have the expertise to put together a convincing solo animation within a reasonable timeframe. I'm used to two or more partners moving together, leveraging each others' bodies. I'm used to fast, intense, powerful motions. None of that is applicable to this kind of animation.

And I could spend a scrupulous amount of time trying to perfect it, but that'd go against the idea of turning out 31 of these animations - and dressing them all up within the meta-narrative.

So, unfortunately, I had to bring the idea of Marie getting bred by her 40 huge dragon cocks out behind the shed and Old Yeller it.

Lulu the Club Slut

Something else I've experimented with over the past few weeks is adding new content to my SpontanePhoto setup. Which, for those who don't know, is my entirely functional and "live" Instagram parody. Specifically, I have been trying to come up with some content for me to bundle together as a new "albums" feature - multiple images tied together within a single post.

I've burned through a lot of ideas, but ended up on this particular idea - recycling Final Fantasy's Lulu into being a club slut, with a shirt that is actually more subtle than she herself is. After putting together and burning four different iterations, I think I've finally settled on this collection of four images.

The narrative is simple: Lulu finds and teases a nerd at the club, humors him with a pity blowjob, and learns not to judge a book by its cover.

I still need to finish the images, and then I need to put in the elbow grease to get SpontanePhoto to support albums. Will be a fun side-project. No idea how long it'll take, though - it's going to be a pretty massive engineering challenge, because it is fundamentally designed around one-image-per-post.

Trixa - The Latest Fallen Throne Character

This was publicly shared, and you can see the tweet here.

In a nutshell, I had Saturday plans get canceled last-minute, so I decided to use the day to finally build Trixa, who is a character in my Fallen Throne original IP. This is mostly only being included for those of you who actually know what Fallen Throne is, and have been starved for information on it.

For those who don't know, Fallen Throne is an original high-fantasy IP I have been working on since 2016. There were a few pieces of early media that were released under the title, mostly surrounded the dark-elf character Queen Nualia, while the IP was very nascent.

But sometime around 2019, I scrapped all of the lore that I had for Fallen Throne and completely rewrote it from the ground up. At the same time, I went completely radio silent on the IP. Writing takes a long time, especially when you've as many projects as I do.

So while you all may not have heard a peep about Fallen Throne in the past two years, it is very much still alive. I've mostly been worldbuilding, starting at the very foundations of any good mythology: its creation myths. Then from there, working through the geopolitics from the world's creation to modern day, and working out all the nuances that brings.

And as all of this worldbuilding has been getting fleshed out, I've been devising characters and stories to explore that worldbuilding. Trixa here is one such "exploratory" character.

To call her a goblin is technically inaccurate in Fallen Throne lore - but she smol, she thicc, she green. As far as you and I are concerned, she's a goblin. More specifically, "goblins" in Fallen Throne are a subspecies of elves - Trixa here is an evolutionary cousin to Queen Nualia.

Avoiding the literal pages of lore that goes into this, there are six total species of elves. There are the original elves (internally referred to as light elves, because they were extremely pale-skinned; think your traditional Tolkien elves or High Elves from Elder Scrolls), whose extinction yielded five distinct subspecies, each adapted to the cultures and environments that forced their evolution. "Goblins" here evolved on the flat steppes, where their ancestors were selectively bred by the local orc populations into becoming shortstacks, the ideal of beauty among orc culture.

Trixa herself is in many ways the opposite of Queen Nualia. Where Nualia is deeply intelligent with the Empire's best education behind her, playful and manipulative, diplomatic and charming; Trixa is simple and uneducated, crass and blunt, rude and thieving. Where Nualia is playing the game of politics, maneuvering herself into and out of bedrooms in perpetual ploys to gain the upper hand in any negotiation, Trixa just wants to get fucked, plain and simple.

There is no deepness, no ulterior motives, to Trixa. She speaks her mind, for better or for worse. It often gets her into trouble, and despite her decided lack of proficiency with words, she still tries to talk herself out of trouble - often getting herself even deeper into trouble. Luckily, there are alternate uses to talking that she likes to put her mouth to, and those tend to work much better for her.

She is also inexplicably Scottish, and decidedly kleptomanic.

Visual Novel?!

Leaving the biggest announcement for last, I am proud to present the most successful product of these past few weeks of my efforts... An entire visual novel, entirely web-driven and using SFM for its art.

This is a story I've been sitting on for a long time. I am glad to finally be exploring it, and super excited to bring it through an interactive media.

It is still extremely early days. It's technically not even started act 1 yet - it's still in the character-set-up stage. But I think it already shows extreme promise.

My plan is to work on it a little bit during Thursdays, which are my days off. The goal is to push a new build every single week. Weekly progress reports will include mention of these updates.

It's going to be slow to build. But hopefully, once I have the roadmap made public, people will be able to see the vision I have for it, and will have as much fun reading (and later playing, once I add some of the mini-games I have planned!) as I am having writing and designing it.

And really, I can't overstate just how much fun I am having working on this. It's probably the single most fun thing I've worked on in months. I enjoy putting together my videos, but there's just something entirely different and uniquely magical to watching a game craft together beneath your very fingertips.

Overbreed?!?!?

Sorry, no Overbreed content. When I say I've been up to my neck working on the Blacklight model, I mean it. I only finally finished working on her Monday night. Then I went to bed. And then I got up today, and got everything together to make this post. And it's now 9:16PM on Tuesday, and I am finishing this post.

However! There will be a Progress Report this Friday! I am hoping to at least get some Overbreed work done on Friday, before the post. But, if nothing else, I should have some more visual novel progress to share on Friday.

Now that I am finally done with that fucking model, I can finally return to Overbreed. So next Progress Report (EG the one scheduled to be posted on December 3) will hopefully have some actual progress to share.

The past two weeks have been Hell. I am glad they're done and I can get back to working on Overbreed.
