Hello, everyone!

I apologize for the super late progress report! As you can see, though, it's not for nothing!

My sound designer surprised me on the 4th with the completed audio solution for the Femshep short. I wasn't expecting it for at least another week. And so, I decided to buckle down and try my hardest to get the animation done for a November 7 release.

Well, I managed to get the video done on November 7...

And then it took 36 hours to render.

So yeah. It was done on November 7, but not ready for release until now, November 9...

CLICK HERE TO WATCH IT! As stated further below, it's only $5 for 2160p early access!

That's why I haven't made any posts about it. I was hoping to open with this on the 7th, and then the 36-hour render happened. And rather than make a post about the delay and then following up 36 hours later with the actual post, I decided to just bite my tongue and wait till the actual release.

Unlike normal videos, Mini-Vids are intentionally short and simple videos. They only take about a week to produce (this took 3 days of work on my end: 1 day for core animation, 1 day for lip-sync, 1 day for detail animation. This is not counting the delays for voice-recording and sound-design), and are absolutely not up to my normal standard. They are a content drip-feed. If you've paid attention to the past few progress reports, then you likely recall discussion about OLCs, or "One-Loop Challenge" videos. "Mini-Vids" are the official, formal name for OLCs.

Which is to say, Mini-Vids are OLCs. Everything I said about OLCs apply to Mini-Vids.

And as such, I have decided to give them a slightly altered release system:

Normal videos -

  • $10 early access, 1080p
  • $15 normal access, 2160p
  • $0 normal access, 720p

Mini-Vids -

  • $5 early access, 2160p
  • $0 normal access, 720p

There will be no 1080p for mini-vids, and they only have free public and $5 early-access. I don't put much effort into them, so I don't think they're worth more than that.

I don't have too much to report beyond this. All of Friday and Sunday were spent working on this, and then the 36-hour render was spent focusing on some model-work. I am going to spend the rest of this week on said model-work as well, actually. I am hoping to release an IP Blacklight model later this week onto my website and Twitter. So if you're interested in model releases, be sure to keep your eyes on my Twitter over the next few days. It won't be a ceremonious release, so you might end up missing it.

There will be no progress report for November 12. Simply won't have enough done to share then. The next progress report will be for November 19. I should have some more Overbreed progress to share then.

Until the 19th, everyone!
