Rabbit.Hole - Progress Report 3 (Patreon)

Hello again, everyone!

So the bulk of this week was spent on something that was scrapped in the end. It's a bummer, but it means that the 1080p release will get fifteen 2160p posters as bonus content. The posters were originally for a time-lapse of what a day of touring looks like, as well as demonstrating that DVa can't get the FuckBuddy app off her mind and really wants to unlock the new outfit that serves as the plot device for the episode.

As such, I don't have as much progress to report as I would like. I have managed to get 50 seconds of narrative animation blocked out, though. It was actually the most difficult sequence to block out, which means the rest of it should go a lot easier.

On the audio front, Silky is hoping to be able to record the dub tomorrow. Checkov, who is voicing the Fan in this episode, has been having consistency problems with his recording quality. Ordagon and I have been helping him troubleshoot his setup. We're currently on "complete rerecording of all the lines" #4. He got the audio to me about 50 minutes ago, but it's too late for me to go through it right now. So here's hoping we've finally got the quality down.

And then finally, the sex sequence wips I promised. As always, these are rough and undetailed, and are silent unlit snippets beside. Take the wips and previous projects and compare them to how much better the final versions of them came out, and use that to extrapolate how these sequences will come out.

The gfycat is all there is for now. It's 2am and I am really tired, and can't be bothered cutting something prettier for you all. The gfycat gets the point across, since there's nothing pretty to look at anyways - it's all rough and unlit anyways.

With any luck, by next week's update, all of the blocking will be done, all of the audio will be in and final, and I will have a rough cut of the entire project off to my sound designer to work on. Once that milestone is met, I expect another 2 weeks to get it to completion.

Which means that we could be as soon as 3 weeks away from release. Of course, don't hold me to that. Shit has a tendency to pop up and complicate things...
