I would say that's how most regular teenagers are, they think because they're getting older that they're that much closer to being adults and try to act like it but they don't have the experience to know what being an adult entails. Yukino had a particular upbringing so she can actually fulfill the role of an adult despite being a teenager herself which is why she can call out other people for trying to act grown.

That whole moment was because yukino dislikes hanging out with her family since they're all pretty fake and petty. However she got tricked by coming along because she heard hachimans voice. Obviously the only outsiders are Yui and Hachiman. Yukis mom wants yukinos sister, hayama and Yuki to hang out with the rest of the family, Yuki doesn't want to that's why she looked at hachiman as a "save me" moment. Then hachiman can't do anything because it's not really a save me moment, but instead looks at hayato because he blames on them for dragging yukino into this bullshit

I think it’s possible that Hayama might have a crush on Yuki and just has never acted on. For reasons why he hasn’t acted on it, I can think of three: 1. He knows Yuki doesn’t like him and a rejection would make the relationship between families weird. 2. He knows even he does tell her, Yuki probably won’t believe they are genuine, but either feelings born out of them being forced to spend time together or their parents trying to force a union. 3. Haruno likes Hayama and he doesn’t want to further damage the relationship between the sisters. The age is about 3-4 years which isn’t the worse and they were also raised together so I don’t see this as being too crazy of a possibility if she waits for him. I am basing this theory on what we have been able to gleam so far, but also other tropes from other shows where wealthy families like join houses by marrying their kids together and using the dynamics seen in those similar situations.

Really? I always got the impression that Hayama was in love with Haruno. Everytime he talks about her he's bummed out that she things he's boring because "perfect" people are bland and they don't have to struggle. And I'm pretty sure that's why he's not dating anyone else

Oregairu is probably the only anime where 30% of their dialogues lies in body movement and eye contact, 40% lies in between the lines of whatever they're saying atm, and 30% is the actual dialogues that we literally listen and see. Like that that cafe scene for example. They literally had an entire dialogue done by eye contact.... some anime thinks the viewers is dumb as they spoon fed you every single detail that you already understand, and then there's this... Speaks through eye contact, doesn't explain it to the viewers, ends the episode. You need to understand their root problem and personality to even piece together all those glances they did, real bold of the author and studio to assume that an average anime watcher could get that in their first time watching. KingdorismHD did an amazing job explaining what went through at the scene

Honestly, I feel like he's in love with yukinoshita. He couldn't act on it cuz yuki still hold a grudge on him about whatever that happened in their grade school. (In season 1 rumi's arc she called him out on it). So their relationship is strained and he doesn't know how to repair it.

yeah the whole spoon-feeding the audience is a big problem most seen in the Shonen (yes shonen is a demographic not a genre but the genres from that sphere all have this issue) area of anime, where they feel the need to not only show it and talk about but then have the character tell you through inner dialogue what just happened and what that means before going onto the next half of the scene where that process gets repeated its really annoying to be pandered to that lowly by the show. Once your out of the Shonen sphere of things that whole telling the audience the same single thing in 3 different ways is significantly less common and usually left for either introducing new info or to imply the character is now getting it/how they understand it. Its great with this show and many other's not having what feels like 5+ minutes (25% of every episode) of very episode spent explaining what they are showing as if expecting you to not be paying attention or unable to get anything not spelled out for you. Just like how this show does it we can understand what's going on just like the characters we are watching and that doesn't always take exposition sometimes its just some body gestures and camera focus is all we need to understand.

Blue light can be easily filtered. Like someone else mentioned f.lux works well but nowadays Windows has a great embedded night light filter that I use. It helps a lot with eye strain and sleep for me. My glasses also have blue light filters in them but they obviously have a limit to how much they filter. I have htem because im on a PC all the time for work.

Just addressing the looks at the end of the episode. So beginning of the scene when Yuki first gets to the restaurant/Caffey she notices that Yui is there too and says "You're here too". Then Yui explains that she was shopping with Hachiman and sort of got caught by Yuki's older sister. After hearing this Yuki was a bit upset/discouraged as she assumes they were together alone because she likes Hatchiman. The next sort of moment of confusion comes when her mother arrives. Without spoiling anything we can clearly see that there from this interaction is that there is some tension between Yuki and her mother. This is also hinted at whenever Yuki talks about her family. After greeting them she tells Yuki's older sister it's time to go and as Yuki is now here as well she must go as well. We can see that Yuki first looks down as if trying to find the courage to tell her mother that she doesn't want to leave. Then she looks to Hatchiman to help her however Yuki's older sister tells her "Don't" meaning not challenge her mother. Hatchiman sensing this looks at Hayama to help out but Hayama shakes his head in the negative as if saying 'Even I can't help the situation.' this leads to Yuki having to leave with her family. Anyways sorry for the long post and hope you guys enjoy the series.

Re watching this show now 10 years later I have a complete different point of view for all of the characters. I used to love Hikki character but now I hate it. I used to hate Yukino but now I kinda respect her character.

interesting perspective to have after 10 years, but i suppose everyone has different experiences in life which then influences there thoughts on things. I have the same perspective as I did back then. I loved Hikki's character & I still do, I used to dislike Yukino & I still do, although she is somewhat respectable to me now, she falls in the neutral/dislike category
