Yut-Lung definitely has a tragic backstory but I still can't bring myself to sympathize with what he's doing to Ash and Eiji. He basically sees himself in Ash and wants him to be unable to escape the demons that he's facing because he wasn't able to. He really is jealous that Ash found a way out.

To simplify it yeah it's absolutely jealously. The backstory was meant to more so make us understand his thought process as he essentially wanted to prove his existence think say Gaara from Naruto especially after Blanca mentioning how he had someone to teach him love and now Ash through Eiji where as Yut-Lung hasn't yet to meet that someone yet to find his way out from his demons.

@AzureMoonbow that's actually a really good comparison. Naruto was almost at the point where Gaara was but then he met people that accepted him. Ash definitely could've kept continuing down the path to hell if he didn't meet Eiji.

i actually never cringed more on a show than eminence , would never recommend to anyone. Akiba maid war on the other hand is a gem of this season
