I think it was mostly because it was an old man and he could've seriously got hurt from that. They also used their training (the parkour) to hurt someone rather than using it to save the world. I feel like the punishment was a bit overboard too, but hey every teacher has different reactions when catching a student doing something bad.

Besides hurting the old man, they are a state secret and have to hide their skills from everyone else, and doing parkour on the roofs is dangerous too. So yes, it was that serious.

So if you told your students to not do parkour outside of classes and they did it and ended up hurting someone you wouldn't be mad about it? Plus you could tell the way the students were acting that they were just focused on having fun without paying attention to their surroundings. I don't think what they had to do was extreme.

I mean realistically speaking, the old man could have died if he fell the wrong way, they just lucky it was a small fracture, the kids are dangerous now that they got all those skills so accident or not they can't be playing around like that and putting others at risk

I think it was more serious mistake on their parts more than any other normal kids because they do have the potential to get all that power in to their heads and become truly despicable. At this point, they are more like government experiments that can go wrong more than anything.

You guys thought they were overreacting for an accident?? It is like driving while TEXTING and getting into an "accident" and hurting someone and then expecting the guy to not be held accountable since it was an "accident." The kids were being irresponsible. Jumping over houses as a shortcut and for "thrills" is not something to be excused. It was not intentional, but they were doing something risky and were definitely being irresponsible with their newfound strength.
