That's the point. From their perspectives they were both the victims. Karate Kid was from Daniel's Pov and now we get to see Johnny's. They are both obviously assholes in their own way, and immature about the situation, but we know that because the audience gets to see all sides.

And its in universe considered illegal in that particular karate tournament and since both johnny and daniel seem to agree on this point albeit begrudgingly we kinda have to accept the all valley disallows the crane kick due to some rule

For Miguel it wasn’t just that he saw Robby at dinner. Just prior to that he tried to set up a date with Sam and she said she was busy and when Daniel asked who she was talking to she quick half closed her computer and said oh it’s just my lab partner which Miguel heard. Sam did that because Daniel been very vocal about his disdain for cobra Kai past and present. Both Daniel and Johnny poisoning the kids minds here because of there beef with each other.

Also you guys should watch the Daniel is the real bully video on YouTube. It came out Several years before this show. It’s funny. And it definitely had to be an inspiration for this show and this episode in particular.

Bruh. Prepared to be pissed off for literally the next two seasons and change. But like, not cause the show is bad or anything. The opposite is true. The show is so good that its story is gonna draw you in. It just so happens that that story is going to leave you pissed off like every single episode. But in the best way possible.

one thing you are forgetting: sam lied when danny asked her who she was talking to. so in miguel's mind this is what he knows "her parents dont know about me at all. she is keeping me a secret. why?" shows up and there is this dude with the family, a family he (her boyfriend) has never met. the optics are not good. he looks like a side piece! but again its all assumptions as immature illogical folks do, no matter the age

Daniel keeps bringing up the past because he's worried about it repeating especially since the person who was apart of it is back at it aka Johnny. Johnny is the typenof asshole that doesn't realize he's and asshole you know the type to get bumped by a kid in the hall way on accident and then kick there ass for being an "asshole".

Not necessarily true, he was very nice in the car dealership, offered to fix his car. I think what set him off is Kyler's misinformation about how he got his bruises. To hear that Johnny, a grown man, beat up a teen - who was his daughters friend - brought back memories. (Though this teen did deserve it lol)

I genuinely wanna see you guys check out the third Karate Kid movie. Terry Silver who got mentioned in the last episode is basically a captain planet villian in the movie and it's great. The whole movie is a train wreck but he makes it so watchable.
