Some of you have to understand that the things that Daniel has heard about Johnny recently were only bad things. Him beating up kids (even though he didn't know the context) and him drawing a dick on his billboard. He's never seen him grow, so he's going to assume he's just the asshole he's always been. That's not an excuse for his petty behavior, though. It's just understandable.

I don't think they need to watch the 2nd movie cause only the first couple of minutes of it was Cobra Kai related. The rest was just them going to Miyagi's hometown Okinawa. The third one they definitely need to watch cause that just shows you how shitty Cobra Kai was back then and Daniel experienced it firsthand.

This show likes to play on cringe a lot. I liked it but it got really focus centric on relationship drama shit. Felt like this had more than Karate kid ever did. Also when lip started up with the mohawk shit I just couldn't help but feel annoyed by him but also cringe at the haircut. I like the series for what it is but sometimes it just pushes some weird tropes and stuff a little too much for my taste.

Wasn't the arcade place that they went to instead of the original place where they went on the "date" supposed to be where Daniel went in Karate kid? I feel like that was an obvious catch that they just completely missed. Maybe I am wrong I haven't seen the movies in a long time.

I think yall constantly forget that cobra kai and Johnny are all part of a traumatic part of Daniel's life. Since the moment he's run into them they've shown him nothing but the worst, and Johnny not only was apart of that but wants to bring it back.
