Crypt & Castle! - Retro VTT Tiles and Tokens. 🔮 (Patreon)

Crypt & Castle: This post is a little different, so I'll explain the backstory. I recently ran a session based on my favourite retro games, such as Gauntlet and A Link to the Past. For the atmosphere and aesthetic I delved into the world of pixel art. I created dungeon tiles, items and tokens in an attempt to capture that old-school feel! 🕹 

Within the attached file you'll find everything I used on the night, from the character backstories to a little animated title screen. The only thing I couldn't create myself was the music; I used an 8-bit fantasy playlist on youtube for that. These tiles and tokens should work fine with whatever virtual tabletop you're using, or you can try and print the dungeon tiles if you wish!

I have also included the Adobe Photoshop file for those of you who wish to create your own tiles. Simply turn certain layers on and off to add or remove dungeon dressing!

We had a lot of fun bringing the Sega/Snes vibes to a roleplaying tabletop one-shot (which went on til the early hours of the morning 😂). I hope you have as much fun using this set as we did! 🍻
