This is the first drawing that I started during most recent Picarto stream. Over the years I've established a reputation for being pretty good at rendering black, shiny surfaces, like leather, vinyl, or spandex. Link, Link, Link And I do find them often a fun and interesting challenge. Especially when it comes to pinups, but where did this interest come from. What was the spark for it? I couldn't remember what had been the original source of this interest.

Well recently one night I had a dream in my general anthro MLP dreamscape where I was having breakfast with Petina. At one point of the meal I brought this up and that couldn't remember what that spark had been. Petina stared at me dumbfounded for a second.

"What? You don't remember?" She shook her head. "Really? I mean I know what it was. I just figured you would've remembered."

"Well what was it?" I asked.

"Olivia Newton John." Said the mare. "In particular the movie Grease."

    "Grease?" I said.

Petina sighed and pulled out her laptop and did a quick online search until she found more or less this video. Link

I watched the video and then looked over at Petina only to discovered that she'd changed her outfit to look like Olivia's or more or less. Although she had a lollipop in her mouth instead of a cigarette.  She grinned at me.

   "Do you remember now?"

There's definitely something to be said about her outfit in the movie. Could certainly say it was something of a gateway drug for shiny wear appreciation even!

BTW, Just how tall is Petina as an anthro-poni? If you figure in 1/8th scale, an 8.5 inch mouse ='s ~5 foot 6 inches. +/-. Which works well with the live-steam model RR . Could just see her driving a 1 1/2 inch scale steamer! 'Axe As a mousey, that is.

Funny because Petina is 5ft 7in in her anthro pony form.

LOL! I wasn't sure about the structural pompadour. I guessed well, then 'Axe
