I'm back! This week's map is the Bustling Channel (25x25), a compact city map with just a few interesting pieces of scenery scattered about to make things interesting. I don't think you'll have much trouble working this one into just about any built-up cities unless there's a specific reason why there can't be a canal there. If that is a problem, then let me know and I'll whip up a similar map for next week without any canals whatsoever, no prob!

Your alternate versions of this map are Caustic and Dreary- both variants that long-time patrons should recognize easily. As many of you know, when a map stars any central body of water I can't help but make it look radioactive, bloody, filthy, or swap it out with lava. Since I had made the water Caustic in one of my last canal maps (quite a while ago), I figured that I would make something similar, just in case someone really enjoyed that theme and wanted a bit more of that environment to play around with.

And yes, Dreary is just a new name for my Subdued palette- I have had a change of heart and decided that Subdued isn't the right name, at least this time. Dreary better captures the vibe, I think, since Subdued implies that it's simply less colorful rather than the brown and side palette that I usually use.
