Hello Adepts/Experts, I've got some more maps for you! As this is another village map I've of course made a stormy version which will make it easy to string along several of my village maps together during a rainstorm, though if I'm honest I keep making these stormy versions because I love the atmosphere these maps get with this lighting and coloring, as well as the extra twist it adds to movement and visibility.

1. So, the rough sketch for this one is a little different than the final product, specifically the buildings. Mostly this is because I had a change of heart partway through where I wanted to keep the village in the map looking like a quaint and tiny roadside town, meaning that elaborate roofing that you would typically find in one of my city maps wouldn't make sense. So I dropped some of the windows jutting from roofs and replaced a few with thatch roofing.

2. In an attempt to keep the style similar to my other 'village' maps, I decided to draw the roofs in the same way as I have previously- mostly tiles of varying sizes. I'm not a big fan of the way this kind of building looks exactly (they're way too detailed, they confuse the eye), so I think I'll try to move away from them in the future. The thatch is fine, but I don't think they're very interesting to look at and they are stylistically too similar to the grass around them for my taste.

3. For the coloring I used Village Square as reference in an attempt (again) of keeping them similar enough that one could lead directly into the other. However, unless some good suggestions come up in the next poll that require it, I'm considering changing the style of these small village maps to something a little more urban, meaning there would be less trees and grass but more cobblestone and carts. I'm still trying it out, so we'll see.
