Chapter 213: Who is He?

Luo’s victory over Biscuit was not by chance, but the result of two months of rigorous training.

Afterwards, Biscuit pounded Luo for ten rounds, with the first strike retaining its speed and power. However, she couldn’t land a double strike, and Luo sealed her movements immediately.

“Hehe.”

In the night, seeing Biscuit’s dissatisfaction, Luo laughed merrily, pleased with his hard-won stability and success, seizing the chance to show off.

Biscuit tossed away her stick, pretending not to see Luo’s thieving grin, and sat down on a chair in front of the stone house.

This stone house, their dwelling, was also created on the spot by Luo using the ability of God's Hand, constructed entirely of rocks from the Talmah Mountains.

The training was perfect; Luo wasn't injured, so there was no need for Sanbica’s healing.

“What shall we train tomorrow?” Luo walked over and sat with Biscuit and Sanbica.

Having practiced the stick-fighting method for two months, it was time to switch techniques.

Sanbica, holding a fruit that resembled a loaf of bread, nibbled quietly, watching Luo and Biscuit.

She had only persisted halfway through the stick-fighting training but had still seen results, though not as significant as Luo’s.

“It's simple.” Biscuit also grabbed a fruit and began to eat, then smiled slyly at Luo, that smile… ominously gleeful.

Seeing Biscuit's smile, Luo shrank his neck and cautiously asked, “What kind of training?”

Biscuit squinted her eyes and said lightly, “Keep using ‘Ken’ until your aura is exhausted.”

“Uh, that does sound simple,” Luo remarked.

“Hmm.” Biscuit nodded.

The next morning.

Luo practiced as usual, opening his aura nodes, allowing his aura to pour out and then compressing it over his skin using ‘Ten,’ which is ‘Ken.’

Suddenly, Biscuit struck Luo with a punch, knocking him back a meter or two, but it was neither painful nor itchy.

This unexpected punch from Biscuit stunned Luo, and before he could understand what was happening, he saw Biscuit's figure flash behind him and landed another punch on his back, still without pain, but pushing him another meter or two.

“Maintain it.”

Biscuit said this and started bouncing Luo around like a ball.

When she punched, she also used ‘Ken,’ but did not use ‘Ryu’ to adjust her attack strength, which meant she was hitting Luo’s defense of 50 with an attack power of 50, so Luo wasn’t injured.

After several punches, Luo finally understood the meaning behind Biscuit’s smile the previous night. He focused on maintaining his state of ‘Ken.’

Biscuit’s punches landed on different parts of Luo’s body, tossing him around like a drunken man.

Sanbica watched from the side, and soon, she saw the area where Luo and Biscuit were training marked by a circle.

Biscuit continuously moved around the perimeter of the circle, punching, while Luo, like a ball trapped inside, bounced back and forth, never leaving the circle.

Without interruptions, Luo could maintain ‘Ken’ for fifty minutes, while the minimum standard in Nen battles was thirty minutes.

Twenty minutes into their ball-bouncing training, Luo’s ‘Ken’ began to falter, the aura membrane covering his body becoming uneven.

“Twenty minutes… not bad.”

Biscuit observed, her actions unceasing.

In theory, given Luo’s current foundation, he wouldn’t last ten minutes under such a relentless and fierce offensive, but now he could maintain stability for twenty minutes, clearly a result of the past two months' training.

After Luo’s ‘Ken’ nearly collapsed, Biscuit punched him out of the circle, causing Luo to suffer internal injuries.

With aura still left, the training continued.

With Sanbica there, Biscuit proceeded methodically, not holding back at all, causing Luo to bleed frequently.

Each punch that landed on him drove the force deep inside, eliciting pain.

Over the past two months, Luo had endured countless stick hits, and his tolerance for pain had transformed; even now, being beaten by Biscuit did not affect his use of aura.

The monotonous daily training continued, never stopping, rain or shine.

Sanbica witnessed Luo’s step-by-step transformation firsthand, even giving up duties imposed on herself during this time to stay by Luo’s side, using her abilities to heal him.

Time passed, and the date for this year's Hunter Exam drew closer, but Luo had no plans to participate. Before heading to the Heavens Arena, all his time was dedicated to training.

In the Hunter Association’s headquarters, Netero’s office.

Bean sorted through the information Biscuit had called in about, then handed it over to Netero, who glanced at the papers before crumpling them into a ball and tossing them into the trash can.

"Progress is swift," Netero summarized with a smile.

"Will Luo participate in this year's Hunter Exam?" Bean asked. He had seen the information and was aware of Luo's terrifyingly rapid progress and his ability to use Nen, thinking such a talent should be quickly integrated into the Association.

"Who knows?" Netero said nonchalantly.

Bean's eyes widened as he said, "Chairman, didn’t you specifically send Biscuit to teach Luo to accelerate his becoming a hunter? I feel like you don’t seem very concerned about whether he will take the exam."

At that, Netero looked puzzled and replied, "Did I send Biscuit to teach Luo?"

Bean opened his mouth, slightly frustrated, "Wasn’t it you who had Biscuit approach Luo?"

Netero nodded thoughtfully, "Yes, but I didn’t ask her to teach him."

"..."

Bean paused, thinking it over, and it indeed seemed to be the case.

"So what exactly are you planning?"

Netero grinned, stroking his beard, "Still thinking."

"..." Bean sighed softly in his mind, suspecting the chairman had some cunning plan to manipulate Luo.

...

Heavens Arena, the 230th floor’s fighting stage.

The spectator seats were filled to capacity, buzzing with voices, all eyes fixed on the only square stone platform in the arena.

On that platform stood two people and one lying down.

Among the standing, one was a middle-aged man in a referee's uniform, the other was the muscular Antomu.

The referee raised his right hand and announced, "Antomu wins!"

As his words fell, the audience erupted into applause.

Antomu stood beside the referee, expressionless, his right arm broken.

"It’s such a pity! Mr. Yarogu, who was just one step away from the floor master's throne, ultimately fell before Mr. Antomu. Congratulations to Mr. Antomu for defending his floor master status!"

In the commentator's booth, a young woman's clear, bright voice declared the conclusion of the duel.

The applause continued unabated, and the staff carried the unconscious Yarogu away on a stretcher, leaving Antomu and the referee on the platform.

Then, a TV reporter approached with a microphone, first politely congratulating him, and then bombarding Antomu with questions.

"How do you feel about defeating Mr. Yarogu, who earned the right to challenge the floor master with an 8-2 record?"

"Did you lose three points in this duel because your right hand lost three fingers?"

"What happened during the 90 days of preparation that led to the loss of your three fingers?"

"Mr. Antomu, about the injuries on your right hand, were they caused by an accident or deliberately? If it was deliberate, who injured you?"

Antomu gave a cold look to the reporter who asked the last question, causing him to tremble.

"He will come, and when he does, I will kill him!"

With this cryptic remark, Antomu turned and walked away, leaving behind a group of reporters with keen senses.

He?

The reporters' eyes lit up, their minds quickly drafting headlines.

"Shock! Floor Master Antomu’s Broken Fingers Were Caused by 'Him'!"

"Whose act led to Floor Master Antomu’s broken fingers? Let's delve into Mr. Antomu's inner world!"

"Who is 'He'?!"
