Chapter 212: Zeroing Biscuit

Biscuit's stick-fighting technique allows for simultaneous training of Luo's Gyo and Ren as it requires full maintenance of Aura output during practice. After the stick falls, it trains the reaction speed of using Gyo.

Luo's potential Aura capacity can maintain an hour and a half of Ren, while Sanbica, being weaker, can maintain less than an hour.

During the limited time, Biscuit circles around the two, sometimes swinging the stick every ten seconds, sometimes thirty seconds, or even a minute. The frequency of swings is entirely random, very much whimsical.

Initially, Biscuit's swing speed wasn't fast, and both Luo and Sanbica had solid basics to cope with it. But when Biscuit increased the speed to second gear, that's when Luo and Sanbica started struggling.

They couldn't keep up with Biscuit's swing speed using Gyo, and Biscuit, never soft in training, would land real blows if they couldn't keep up.

Each hit would pain Luo and Sanbica for a while.

Unapologetic as she might be, Biscuit was very precise in her control, allowing Luo and Sanbica to feel the pain of failure without affecting the process and outcome of their training.

Moreover, once Luo and Sanbica repeatedly failed, the strength of the stick's blows would gradually increase.

This was the 'combo' effect, and during the duration of this 'combo' effect, as long as Luo and Sanbica succeeded once, they could clear Biscuit's 'combo' Buff.

In the stick-fighting training, Luo's worst experience was when his right arm was brutally broken, having allowed Biscuit's 'combo' count to accumulate to 52 times.

This type of 'combo' training method isn't something ordinary people could employ; only a master like Biscuit could use it effortlessly, which required testing the incremental distribution of Aura and control over strength.

That is to say, Luo being able to endure Biscuit's stick blows was his fortune.

The initial phase of training was very tough on Luo, but there were results.

Sanbica fared a bit better, not because her skills were better, but because Biscuit was more lenient with her. Otherwise, the stick that could break Luo's bones, if it had hit Sanbica, would have resulted in severe injury or death.

As Luo endured hardships, his progress was evident to Biscuit, who hoped this phase of training could last a bit longer, preferably having Luo withstand thousands of stick hits every day.

After all, pain tolerance is quite crucial in Nen battles.

For instance, human fingers are proverbially connected to the heart; breaking them is not ordinary pain. However, those with high pain tolerance, even if their fingers break during a fight, can manage without any reaction.

However, few people intentionally try to improve their pain tolerance, except in environments like the Zoldyck family, where pain tolerance is one of the training items from a young age.

For someone like Antomu, it is the pain tolerance forged through numerous battles.

Biscuit took the opportunity during stick-fighting training to simultaneously enhance Luo's pain tolerance.

Therefore, Biscuit doubled the training intensity, planning to end it by increasing from first to fifth gear, but now she intended to push it to eighth gear before ending.

The increase in intensity forced Sanbica to retire earlier because her physical strength couldn't handle it.

With Sanbica out, Luo suffered miserably, enduring thousands of hits every day, with major and minor injuries all over his body. Although the process was painful, he held on.

After being tormented by Biscuit that day, he resolved to push Biscuit to the point of transformation after this training session ended, hanging on to this determination, he persisted.

One day, Luo's Aura was depleted, and he fell to the ground, soon falling asleep.

Biscuit ceased swinging, summoning Miss Cookie to use Peachy Breath on Luo, allowing him to recover in an hour, then continue, while Sanbica treated the sleeping Luo.

With Miss Cookie and Sanbica's abilities, just like during body conditioning, they could completely squeeze out the time, turning one day into five or six days' worth.

The black cat always looked on mischievously at the side, wisely avoiding being used as a stick by fetching many suitable sticks for substitution in the early days of the stick-fighting training.

"Currently, the highest combo count is 59 times. Let's push for 100," Biscuit said, looking at Luo on the ground receiving treatment from Sanbica, with a dangerous smile.

She wasn't a sadist, but in training Luo, she had set a goal for herself to land a hundred combos on him. However, Luo's rapid progress kept her combo count restricted to 59.

Luo, unconscious,

was unaware of Biscuit's devilish thoughts, but he too had set a high goal for himself during the training: to flawlessly zero out Biscuit.

If Biscuit was aiming to refresh her combo record, Luo was determined not to let Biscuit even start a simple 2-combo count!

Awakening, getting hit, falling down…

Two months whisked by like the wind.

Those coming to the Talmah Mountains, some noticed the odd duo below in the valley and their strange actions, day after day.

Those who come to the Talmah Mountains usually do so to commit suicide, while a small fraction are poison hunters, who come for the happy mushrooms and doom toads.

The former come to pick the happy mushrooms and then consume them to commit suicide, while the latter come to catch the doom toads to study the connection between the mushrooms and toads.

Whether former or latter, upon discovering Luo and the others, they didn't pay much attention.

In the valley.

A blonde girl with a ponytail, holding a stick, walked around a black-haired boy of similar age—it was Biscuit and Luo.

Biscuit moved slowly, but her arms swung out a series of afterimages, the stick in her hand drawing multiple afterimages, raining down on Luo like droplets.

Thump, thump, thump...

The sound of dense thuds spread throughout the valley.

Luo, continually hit by the stick, remained calm as if the stick swinging out gusts of wind wasn't hitting him.

A floating black cat and a person dressed tightly watched the lively scene.

If a master Nen user were here, focusing their Aura on their eyes, they would undoubtedly discern the subtleties of these strange actions.

The blonde girl swinging the stick, with each rapid swing, carried a constant force, showcasing her control over strength.

And the black-haired boy, the Aura around him always changed depth with the incoming stick, like a light ball swiftly moving over his body, always moving to the point of impact first.

After a while, Luo's Aura suddenly vanished, then he sat down abruptly, bursting into hearty laughter.

That moment, Biscuit abruptly stopped her hand, then threw the stick to the ground, her face unwilling.

"Ha ha, zero combos!"

Luo lay back on the ground, laughing joyfully, having endured two months of bruising, finally zeroing Biscuit!

"Don't celebrate too soon, you need to successfully stabilize it ten times!" Biscuit, hands on her hips, said fiercely.

She ultimately landed only 62 combos on Luo, far from her target of 100.

"Don't say ten times; I'll show you a hundred times!" Luo confidently exclaimed!
