Hey all. Short progress report, no picture today. It's been a hella whacky week, ending on being really sick this weekend with some mysterious ailment. I'm on the mend, but still not better.

I haven't made much progress on Overbreed, but have instead been hopping around on some side projects. One of them was planned, the other not - and, because this is just the way the universe goes, the unplanned one made further progress.

The reason why I decided to focus on these side-projects is I was originally going to be spending this weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) with friends. Unfortunately, as you might be able to tell by the fact it's Saturday and I am writing this while sick, that didn't happen - I got really sick on Thursday, and had to cancel my plans. Whacky week indeed.

The planned side-project is a really quick DOAFantasy project, only maybe 90 seconds in total, introducing Nyotengu and her role in the DOAFACU (Dead Or Alive Fantasy Aardvarkian Cinematic Universe), with some lewds on the side.

The unplanned side-project is a technical experiment disguised as a "choose your own pace" project. The premise is simple: Professor Rebecca Chambers taking it up the butt in a night-club restroom. The way the "choose your own pace" will work is that, during the lewd sequences, the viewer will have control of how long any individual camera angle is settled on, and how many camera angles are cycled through before moving onto the next sequence.

The goal of this "choose your own pace" project is to record viewer preferences - how long do people stay on given camera angles, how many angles do they go through for a given sequence, things like that. I can then, in turn, analyze the data and use it to better inform how long I should stick to camera angles and loop sequences in my more traditional animations. It's something I've always struggled with, with more than one person telling me that my lewd sequences go too fast.

When I say that the non-planned side-project has gone better than the planned side-project, I really do mean it. I've been working on the Nyo project for about 3 days, and managed to get 2 animations (mostly) done. Granted, one of those animations is a piece of art and it's a miracle that it works at all, you'll know it when you see it, but still. Compare to the Rebecca project, where I get 4 animations and 60 camera angles done in a single sitting.

I am hoping to beat off this illness in the next few days, and to be feeling well enough to properly share some WIP of both of these. But for right now, just writing this post is taking most of my energy, so you'll just have to wait.

I'm going to go curl into bed and sleep some more. Hopefully we'll be having a mid-week progress report. Until next time, everyone, take care.
