Progress Report - February 15, 2019 - Miranda Versus the Galaxy (Patreon)

I think Friday just works better for progress reports. Yeah, I'll stick with that.

As I was hoping, this week has been mostly focused on audio. This is most of the non-dub audio - I am missing a handful of tracks that need to be rerecorded, and I have one voice that I brought on late (totally forgot about it; they only have 2 lines in the whole thing) and so hasn't had a chance to record yet.

You might have noticed I tend to give my sound files shitposty names. I have to entertain myself somehow. However, even still, I keep them highly organized - each sound file is named after the character it belongs to, and is numbered with the shot in the master script that it belongs to. The text summary is to help me remember in a pinch what the gist of the line is, though ideally I don't need it (hence why I am liberal with the shitposty names).

As to work that got done today, it's not as much as I would have liked. Getting the dub animation ready was a bit of a headache, because I kept forgetting to extend things and so I had to go back and fix things several times. Editing the dub material for the voice talent to work with also proved complicated, due to the J-cut-heavy nature of the short.

But, in the end I got it all - just short of 6 minutes of pure, unfiltered Miranda fucking. The amount of on-screen footage of that fucking will be less than that, but all of the audio will be used. So, expect a whole lot of Miranda moaning.

Speaking of Miranda and voicing things, I did manage to go through and lip-sync all of Miranda's non-dub audio. Sunday's task will be doing the same for Kasumi, and then after that, the Hanar and Elcor.

Hopefully by Monday I will have the dub audio ready. But that's out of my hands. My voice talent for Miranda has a busy schedule. She said she'll do her best to get it done this weekend, but I don't think she anticipated 6 full minutes of material to work with. If I don't hear anything by Tuesday morning, I'll tap her to see how things are going.
