Progress Report - February 8, 2019 - Miranda Versus the Galaxy (Patreon)

HELLO EVERYBODY!!

It's been a long while since we've had a progress report post! December was a long month accented by the release of Blue Star Episode 3, and then January was a vacation month for me. So we've gone something like 1.5 months without a progress report.

But no longer! I come to you all with great tidings!

The Miranda short, Miranda Versus the Galaxy (technically the subtitle; I need to figure out the title for the mini-series itself still), is coming along swimmingly. In fact, I only have 2 animations left to make, for the sex scene to be complete and ready for dubbing. Goal is to have them all shipped off by Monday evening!

This is by far the most quantity-heavy short. If Fair Market Value were included, it'd be a tighter race, but that isn't technically a short, so I'm not counting it.

Here is a quick gif demonstrating all of the poses made so far. I have some notes underneath it to keep in mind. The scenebuild is courtesy of the affable StrayaSFM, a real god of scenebuilding. He's yet to disappoint.

Notes:

• Don't mind the stretching vert at the Hanar's shoulder. It will be fixed.
• The Hanar's tentacles have very few joints. This is how they were rigged in the game, and I kept it that way to make them sane for me to pose. I could spend the entire month just animating them, if they had smooth deformations like the tentacles in Radio Silence - and that month would be on just one animation, to say nothing of the other 3. Needless to say, I don't have the time for that, and so we're just going to have to accept this compromise.
• The Krogan cock is an unfinished stand-in. The final version will have proper quads, and will be properly attached to the model. I figured it a higher priority to actually get the animations done before I spent more time on the model. Once the WIPs are ready for my voice talent to dub, I will spend the time they use recording to fix the model - that way, both dubbing and fixing gets done at the same time.
• All of the cock textures are unfinished. They're all just placeholder textures. They will be prettied up and finalized (hopefully) before the final render.

With any luck, next week's progress report will be on Thursday (as normally scheduled; I had to do stuff on this past Thursday, hence the post being today), and I will have oodles and oodles of audio to show screenshots of!
