Hey all!

So this update may not seem, on the surface, that extraordinary. But it's a bit of a technical marvel - in the top image, there is an audience of 80 characters. Source Filmmaker was begging me to end its misery at about 25 characters. It's straddling the memory limit of SFM (it's sitting around 3.3GB out of the 3.6GB SFM can support before crashing), and I get a whopping 3.9 FPS when navigating the scene.

Beyond the hell that was putting together that audience, I have also commissioned two artists to assist me with building the exterior and lobby scenes for the project. The exterior is being built by that exalted StrayaSFM, who is definitely in my personal top-5 when it comes to scenebuilders.

You all have seen Straya's builds a handful of times in my projects already: The bedroom in Blue Star Episode 1; the bar in Blue Star Episode 2; the entire build of the Witcher short; and the entire build of the Tina short. All were done by ineffable StrayaSFM. And, as you can see from this unfinished WIP, he won't be disappointing with this exterior build either.

While the lobby build is far less impressive as of right now, the artist I commissioned for it - whom wishes to remain anonymous for personal reasons - is right up alongside Straya in my list of top-5 scenebuilders, too. That WIP is a bit underwhelming right now, but I fully expect it to blow all our collective socks off when all is said and done.

BEYOND the SFM constructions, Incognita and I have sat down and written out the screenplay for all 4 scenes for the short. You can read the screenplay for scene 2 by clicking here.

This is a significant stride, in that with all of the sex animations now done, that's about 80% of the man-hours involved in animating out of the way. And with the screenplays done, that means I am currently waiting on voice audio to get back to me - everything sans the dubs, which will be tackled at a later date.

The amount of animating that still requires to be done is quickly dwindling. And while I doubt I will have this project ready for release before I leave on December 15, I am hoping it will be ready to post within the first 10 days of January. I know that cuts into my Blue Star development time as per my new schedule, but that's what happens when you take a 2-week vacation with family in the middle of the month.

I will be posting the final WIP of the year this Thursday, December 14.
