Not one of my favourites this one; the exploration of irritating tropes is a good idea in theory, but those tropes are still irritating when used ironically!

Worst. Episode. Ever.

James Mason

This is one I've definitely enjoyed more on a second watching.

She's the woman from Ace Ventura 2. (I don't think I've ever guessed the ending to one of these either, too many twists and turns.)

Sorry Josh, can't bring myself to watch this one. Absolutely hated it when I first watched it and have no interest in seeing it again 😂

mrtheevilmage

This one was perhaps a little too meta for me. About halfway through I gleaned that maybe it was that none of it was real. The self-awareness they depict in the process of their work as writers. In that, they are derivative of the 7 basic stories in literature. But they are also parodying the clichés and oversaturation of certain characters found in some works. I've thought, from about the 2nd series, that the idea that working towards the potential of a twist, that long-time viewers are now too often expecting. Only ever seems to hammer home the contrivance of the show's formula. Too often my enjoyment of lots of these stories and ideas regularly gets lost in that chased objective. Even when it doesn't have one, it doesn't stop you from anticipating it. So the twist rarely ever seems to come out of the blue.
