Ay Josh, is there any specific platform that earns you more money than another? (in terms of likes and views) Let us know and we'll hammer that one for you 😉👍

Ash Jeffries

Thanks for the reaction, Josh and I'll watch it in just a moment but I want to get this posted just to flag something arguably important: It's entirely up to you of course but I would strongly recommend that you skip next week's episode, "Death Be Not Proud". Not only do you need to have seen Psychoville to truly understand and appreciate the episode, but watching it would also spoil Psychoville itself and this would be a crying shame in my view, especially as it's on the poll, could very well win a poll in the not so distant future, and is a show I think you'll love. 🙏 The episode is a call back to Psychoville and for mutual Psychoville/Inside No. 9 fans. I'd go straight to series 5, episode 3 next week, "Love's Great Adventure" if I were you. Just thought I'd flag it so you can decide what you think is best! 🙏

I second the above comment regarding next week's episode! Several on here may (and probably will) claim that you do not need to see Psychoville to enjoy the episode however it will indeed completely spoil the ending of Psychoville before you even have a chance to begin the series as many key plot points/revelations that were unveiled during the course of that series will be referenced in detail throughout the Death Be Not proud episode of Inside Number 9- as Psychoville was written to have a serialised story (with many plot twists & surprises) told over the course of its two series this will be a massive shame. Next week's episode really was written to be an epilogue of sorts to the entire Psychoville series around ten years after the show ended.

Yeah. I think he's already been made aware of that, as I remember Josh mentioning it before. (It's a shame he's gotta wait though 'cos it's a very funny episode as it is.)

It was my first time watching this episode, I'd seen some reviews rating it very highly and some really poorly so I wasn't sure what to expect but I really enjoyed it. I started suspecting the ref had set it all up when Steve's character said the person who called him sounded like someone just putting on a voice so the ending wasn't really a surprise but it was still really good imo. Nice gentle start to the series so I'm hoping for something very dark next time lol. Cheers Josh.

I have to say Josh, I loved how sympathetic you were to this character, worried about his relationship, and being outed before he was ready, it made the ending more satisfactory! I felt the same way when I first watched it, I really felt for the guy, and it turns out we were being manipulated by him! I have very little interest in football (soccer), but I really like this episode, I don't think you need to be a big sports fan to enjoy it. Maybe those who are big into sport are able to spot the twist a lot easier, because without that passion it's hard to fathom going through all those lengths just for a team you support! He was honest about one thing though, near the end when he said, "I did it for love", only it wasn't love for a man, it was for his team! It is interesting to wonder if he was even gay at all, I guess it ultimately didn't matter, he was quite happy to use people in whatever way he could.

Yeah, what Ash said 👍 I've only seen a couple of episodes of Psychoville but it didn't grab me... In the same way that if you jumped into an episode in serious 3 of The League of Gentlemen you wouldn't have a clue what the fuck was going on! If we're skippin episodes, let's go in for 'Misdirection' next 😉

David Lyons

Was this made before or after the Sepp Blatter / FIFA controversy? Because the show's out here saying "The football guy who's supposed to be impartial...is corrupt! What a twist!" And I'm sat here thinking "...is it?" Maybe it's because I don't follow football at all, but this is probably my least favourite episode so far. The drama between the characters is the only saving grace for me. Although after watching all of The Royle Family, I thought Josh might've clocked Ralf Little / Anthony!

Chris H

Definitely agree, the episode would be a good watch after the last episode of Psychoville if/when it gets through the polls.

I really hope he doesn’t, that’s just silly as We shouldn’t have to wait a year to see an episode from a show we finished ages ago.

Anonymous

You think he will remember the details of that episode in a years time? That’s just ridiculous. He won’t do one episode on its own from a show he did a year ago, I hope he ignores these silly requests.

mrtheevilmage

I think this episode came out after cause I remember something on the radio about a controversy before this episode so I think they may have based this episode around it

Is it just me or can you smell this episode? It's such a nasty and distinctive smell; the smell of a locker room. Cheesy feet and ten year old sweat.

I watched the Inside No.9 episode before I saw Psychoville and I thought it was one of the best and funniest Inside No.9s.

Anonymous

I'm guessing there'll be 9 series of Inside No.9. Just for numerology's sake. 9 x 6 episodes; a 6 inverted = 9. And 9x6=54, 5+4=9.

"You'd end your relationship over a game?" - Oh Josh, welcome to the world of football fans!

I love noticing things I never realised the first time around. For example, Steve Pemberton said he thought the Qatari Syndicate who phoned him to take a bet was"just a man putting a voice on." I've just realised it was Martin of course. Great stuff.

Anonymous

He may have already watched it, depending on how far in advance Josh makes his reaction videos

With all respect its 1 episode he would be postponing out of 43-would it really effect you guys that much if he delayed it until Psychoville inevitably wins the poll one day? The people advising him to skip the episode have clearly watched Psychoville themselves (prior to the original premier of next week's Inside No9 episode) & are suggesting this to further Joshs enjoyment & appreciation of the series when he does get around to watching it. Obviously Josh can do as he wishes in regards to whether to watch it or not but in the longrun when he is invested in the Psychoville series/story arch I believe he may grow to regret it slightly as you have to admit the next Inside No9 does give a hell of a lot away about Psychovilles conclusion lol. Not to mention the many bizare references and callbacks that are peppered throughout the next episode are going to draw a blank😅

Permberton's character was so goofy Martin would've had no doubt he'd take the bait.

Anonymous

It has been commissioned up to series 9, which would make sense. Whether it goes beyond that is the question. Shame it's not 9 episodes per series, 9x9=81, 8+1... well you get the idea!

danny gibson

Tbf guys, if Josh lost the plot and decided to quit Patreon and do his reactions on only fans....but naked, I'd probably just be like 'it is what it is' 🤷🏻 and go along with it 😂

One thing that makes this very different from US sport is promotion and relegation, so it’s like a baseball team from the minor leagues getting to play in the MLB if they get promoted, along with the money (£150 million in this particular case that ‘City’ were going to get for promotion to the next league up) for the club in investment and sponsorship etc - and relegation means the reverse with the same loss of money Just to clarify the ref wasn’t a fan of either of the teams in the match shown, but a third team, usually you can’t referee the team you support

Gary Tamblyn

Guess you recognised Antony from the Royal Family ? A bit older in this episode.
