It isn't bad but not my style, like you I enjoy an anime that has a plot/story. Based on this first episode, it seems like a cash cow milking between seasons.

i dont know how you could like the slime series and not like this . yes its all fluff, but its still character development. Oh and dont forget that the girl who likes souei is gambiru's sister. thats why she was apologizing for him in the cave.

Uh. Well to start we all have our taste. But what i like is development of tension somewhere. So i look forward to a series that is gonna apply stress or make me wonder where the plot is going. So for example in the the slime series We had trade relations and got interested in the implications of that. What’s the darl lord doing. So beyond character development actually story progression that tugs on my emotions.
