Richie gotta grow up

Comments

WrathOfHeaven

Day 5 of asking for a Vikings or The Last Kingdom reaction

Reign

that guy in the beginning who said take the tape off has been part of the crew from the beginning lmaooo

Red Death

Does Sheera not like food or something? She got a stank face everytime food is on the screen 😂

KingDom

Damn that’s crazy Lmao those people always been there. They been washing the dishes and helping out around the place

Sean Harding

The next episode is gonna be HEAVY 🫣🫣🫣🫣no spoilers that's what I'm excited to see✊🏾

Devin B

I can't wait for the chaos in the next episode

entity

yall not ready for episode 7..

Robert

Knew once they said it this was gonna be the “bro he said the not that” comment lol. Tbf the dishwashers barely get any screen time.

Anonymous

Yeah I got same vibes when I first saw Michael revealed as Jon Bernthal

Robert

Agree that Ritchie has to get with the program. That said, he’s also reeling from loss of his best friend just like Carmy and Sugar. The whole things are changing thing is him going through his grief of having to process the fact that Mikey’s gone too.

Jay

richie is the literal definition of change = bad💀💀💀

Robert

It’ll be interesting to see how y’all feel about Syd coming up. Her impatience, attitude, and giving away her food to the customer becomes a point of contention in the fandom. She’s pretty awesome but she’s not perfect.

Reign

yeah they don’t get a lot of screen time so i don’t blame them for asking lol just letting them know

Anonymous

That big dude is not a new hire lol. He was working there before Carmy took over

Nrock23

yeah Manny and Angel i think thats their names, they are the dishwashers

Koifull

it's funny as fuck when I hear Roshi or Lupa saying how the food looks good but at the same time Sheera is absolutely disgusted... 😭😭

MrOuijaII

How Richie looked in the flashback vs how he looks currently is heartbreaking, he is shitty but in context of feeling useless, poor relationship with baby moms, and losing Michael, dude is obviously going through things

DsWorldd •

Sheera got the stankiest of stank resting faces sometimes lmao, she be killing me when I glance over and she putting one on😭😭

Hasnain Khan

Yehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

BabyFoodChewer

Lmao Sheera tuning up her face every time they have literally any type of food on screen

Kevs rey

Ep 7 coming this week 😈

Anonymous

i'm worried about cousin. people deal with trauma in crazy ways and when he says that he's gonna quit - i hope that doesn't mean he's gonna follow in mikey's footsteps. this is a good show! happy new years, thanks for the reaction!

yaboyroshi

lmao yall gotta remember Sheera is vegetarian (since birth) so seeing meat bing prepared is off putting for her

DeAndre

Yo the fit lupa got on goes crazy

Antonio Williams

Richie absolutely needs to grow up but I think the beginning of the episode is to remind folks that he lost his best friend, the dude he worked for/with and even still had outside adventures with. He's lost and handling is shittily too. It's similar to the TIna thing but even moreso than with her situation. Dude is obviously screwing up, but he's also fumbling to find Richie, Beef Employee, after Mickey's death. He's a massive screwup but dude is literally in a place, that while it is improving, it's being spearheaded by two folks with no emotional attachment to the place who are, like I said, improving it, via changing it. That said...episode 7...maaaaaan

Dilan Lahiru

im sorry but I cannot unsee PaRappa the Rapper when i look at lupa with that orange beanie lmfaoooo

Maxine

I actually like that the sis kinda plays off how much she's feeling by saying "i'm fine" when carmy finally asks...especially after him opening up about not knowing how to vocalize his emotions, which is why he can't bring himself to ask others. To me it felt like she understood him a bit and, appreciating him taking a step out of his comfort zone to even ask the question, allows that to be enough for now. Once understanding why it's so difficult for him - which only happens because he finally tells hers - she doesn't continue to push him beyond what he's comfortable with

Teddy McDonald

These boys aren't ready for the next episode lmao

Fred_D3

The big guy with the pony tail & the guy with the cap work in the wash room haha barely anything happens there so they get no screen time

DevilMayCarter

Remembers that one episode of Haikyuu, after the training camp, second half of that episode was just the boys eating meat. Sheera looked like she wanted to be anywhere else.

I’m me

give me a hint, does it have anything to do with Lease sign next door

Devin B

Richie is basically trying to uphold the memory of Michael by acting the same way that he does because if he admits that he needs to move on then he's basically admitting he has to move on from Michael

Calem Joseph

The disrespect to the dishwashers is crazy. They have been since the first episode.

Fizzy

Richie character arc is defo one of my fav things in the show it what made him my fav character extremely flawed yet very intriguing

JOJO

Is the next episode a one-take?

Imari

Next ep is so good

Almightydu

I already binged and I can’t wait to watch yall reaction

Ginger Dwarf

5:55 He said "The" not "That"

Kumi Chan

Ikr? I know they haven't been properly introduced yet but I know for a fact they have seen them at least once

AndrewDAHL

If I had to guess Richie is stuck in a rut because he isn't contributing to the improvements. Not just because he is obviously being counter productive, but because he isn't integral to the kitchen staff anymore. From what I've seen he is only handling the register, and Carmy is more then enough to run the kitchen but also Sydney who is currently running it. With Carm permanently in reserve Richie probably feels like he is being left behind. Before he was a pillar of the restaurant and now he's an obstacle, all while he is trying not to change things. For kitchen staff the benefit of change is tangible, they see their improvement in themselves like with Tina. For Richie the change is perceived as him becoming more useless, in his position I don't know what I'd do. This show is so well written it's insane, banger frfr

EmoBurrito

Does sheera just not like food or what lol

Anonymous

Lupa: "I've noticed that the chaos has calmed down." 👀👀👀 IYKYK And I think Richie called the cops to be petty about not being the one to solve the situation.

Anonymous

ONG bro as a dishwasher i was livid lmao they was one of the first ppl we saw lmao

Ershy

and you know thats not gnna do anything right lmao

Sekraan

The dishwashers have been in a bunch of scenes lmao

Desi

Seeing Tina finally get with the program was great, and she just keeps getting better. She became one of my favs in season 2

Zoe

Carmy sister has me stressed, she gets pissed at Carmy for being selfish and only speaking to her when he has a problem but then barges into his restaurant talks shit about it, and proceeds to get angry that he didn't ask how she was. She's just confusing

Jamaal Ellison

The punisher and Micro together again.

Devin B

Nope, it has something to do with introducing a new feature to the restaurant, they mentioned it earlier in the episode

A. P.

Every time I watch this series I notice something new, it's really crazy.

Oni Legend

I think the stuff with Syd this episode is really interesting because like Roshi and them have said Syd is an absolute W and she’s been doing so much to get The Beef going and working…..but then she gets ahead of herself and tries to push that dish out IMMEDIATELY after shes come up with it and just made it for the first time. Carmy understandibly tells her to be patient and workshop it but you can see it really eats at her to the point that rather then just throw it away or eat it, she gives it to a random customer Its just super interesting because its like when it building up from a down place, she’s absolutely critical and a major help but when it comes to plateau where things are evening out at a good level, she’s liable to cause problems by pushing to go higher too much and too fast

Koosha Mokhbery

This is my second time watching their reactions, I love it lol. What are some things you noticed/picked up? I have seen S2 fyi:)

13

I love how Sheera looks perpetually disgusted at every dish in the show so far lmao

Anorak

That dishwasher dude’s been in the show since the beginning lol, they ain’t hire anyone new

Michael Pamon

The most egregious thing about this episode is them trying to convince me (a lifelong Chicagoan) that River fucking North is being gentrified, as if it hasn’t been one of the city’s wealthiest neighborhoods for DECADES 💀💀💀💀💀💀

A. P.

I think this will be my 4th or 5th watch through the whole series lol in this episode in particular I never realized that while Gary was talking to the guys outside the restaurant he basically said he lost his spot on The Cubs because he failed a drug test. There's a lot of little details like that which give you a deeper look into the characters.

Bria A.

Richie openly shooting a gun at lunchtime in River North and everyone just going about their day is so funny

Bria A.

I understand this to an extent but did you see the part where her brother(s)’ slipping up and committing tax fraud is about to get her house seized by the government? Plus, Carmy being distant and closed off is clearly a long pattern since way before the start of the show. I’d be yelling too. 😭

Delinda Arts

so excited for them to experience "Forks"

MT

I guess all dishwashers look alike huh 😂

Guav

that episode hyped me up so much the pay off was so worth it

SnailSpray

just so yall know the next episode is filmed in entirely one shot

Kevin

I feel like yall be giving Sugar too much grief. But the comments saying next episode crazy so imma have to watch it now.

These Plums

Goes both ways, which is kinda the point. Everyone is shitty. The show is about being less shitty

Bxneeyyx

next episode was one take

Anime4Life

You guys be missing a lot of stuff the dishwasher has been there since episode 1

PetersThimble

It was super fair of Carmy to look into her previous employers and tell her that she’s impatient and I’m sure it’ll get her in trouble. I’m surprised the gang didn’t call that out as bad behavior. Syd’s a great employee but she definitely gets ahead of herself

Anonymous

She’s a vegetarian haha so a place like the Beef isn’t really her forte

Kumi Chan

Yeah they def have seen them before, just hard to process shit when they watch hella shows

Anonymous

Chaos next episode

Fizzy

Yes top 3 episodes for me hands down Richie character development was so good

Anonymous

need u guys to watch s2 immediately after s1

Michael Pamon

Her barging in and talking shit was kinda warranted tho, the IRS is gonna seize her house because her brother hasn’t paid taxes in 5 years 💀

Chris Hee

that chicken at 30:00 looked *amazing*

Joker416

Another case of them not paying attention big boy been there since the beginning.

bleach

Episode 7 is PEAK

Clinton Vance

Tina knows Richie would never leave. I think her reply was really her way of calling him out on his bullshit, because she knows he’s just acting out because he’s frustrated. “You’re not gonna leave so find a way to get the f*ck over yourself”

John Endaya

Right?? And it ain't even the peak of the SHOW. You know what I'm talking about when that acoustic guitar comes on. I know you ain't thinking of it rn, but when you hear it, you'll remember ;)

luna

At the end, they were spitting but the only thing I wanna say is, yes Carmy is dealing with it in his own way, that way isn't healthy, like at all. It may even damage his relationships moving forward or everything fall apart around him, especially if he continues to not truly address his emotions instead of focusing his attention elsewhere. As always W Reaction

Kevin

Yea next episode is GAS! Cant wait to see yall react to it

Anonymous

I NEED EP 7 RIGHT NOW! LIKE I DON’T WANT TO WAIT A WEEK LOL

vesra

They put it on this week's schedule, unless something changes Ep 7 should wup Friday

Antonio Williams

As soon as I saw that episode I needed to watch reactions to it. That was THE MOST stressful situation I've ever witnessed on screen

Gwyn

Did Sydney just get extorted for sandwiches? That's like $100 worth of sandwiches you're giving away every week so drug dealers stay off the curb.

Desert Penguin

She says in the episode that they're leftovers, and I think it's just that one time

Leo

The goat indeed I would like to see Jon play Michael towards the end because he's that great of an actor I know that scene would be super emotional. This is very left field but when Tina was talking to Richie at the end it reminded me of Terrence Howard from hustle & flow talking bout him messing up her MOJO and how live it was for some reason that was hilarious to me I even heard it in his Memphis accent when she was talking 😂.

Tope

She rightful came in guns ablazing because her house might be taken by the gov because of Michael’s (and now Carmy’s) negligence. I’d be screaming at everybody too lol. Also more subtlety, something people gloss over is the fact that she ALSO lost her brother. Imagine your brother dies, your other brother finally comes back to town after being away for so long, and the only times he reaches out to you is to ask you for favors. Losing a sibling is hard but to not acknowledge the pain it causes your other sibling (especially when they’re the one who was closer to them) isn’t fair.

Anna Anthony

They buggin! lol Manny and Angel (Dish) have been here since day 1. They came in clutch when the toilet xploded. Funny af. Thanks for the content!

Lorin Williams

He called the cops because he didn't like Sydney solving the issue. aka taking control.

lyssa

I feel lupa with that jon berthal take

Paulothy

At last, the reactors clap the comments. How the tables have turned

K.

Lol them gunshots 💀. I mean it is Chicago

Tim Drake

Lupa fit fire

ok

Lupa wins the award for sickest beanie.

ok

she hates everything but a damn carrot

ok

since birth is actually interesting the sheera lore goes DEEP

ok

yeah idk why people keep saying they barely show up, i mean commpared to syd or tina it's not a lot but we have seen that dude (for example) a lot and he has a very memorable voice

ok

yeah there was no "growth" in that decision ^

Pocparks

the fear i felt when sydney went out there by herself,,, i need to watch happier media

Terrence Carter

why am i at work at said 'O' block as roshi says that smh lol

Infinity

guys its chicago they have the most shootings anywhere. Shit happens everyday.

Tellyg47

They throw those sandwiches away at the end of the day most likely

Tellyg47

Hating on sugar for no reason. She wanted to know her brother cared about her and she can’t read Bear’s mind

Destiny Simon

youre right i didnt think of it like that, its like she's trying to fix everything all at once and make a new menu all in one day and it can be overwhelming, especially when everyone finally just got on a level ground.

Spree

its actually crazy how accurate the little things are in this show. I worked in a kitchen for six years and the dish washers would always get pissed at us for not taking the tape off of dirty dishes. Seeing that small interaction in the show just breaths so much authenticity into the show just like a lot of little creative decisions this show makes to show the intricacies of the kitchen and the relationships between different kinds of staff. just so well done

Tay

nah sugar hate is valid Bear cant read her mind either and that was her first time expressing what she was Actually mad about. bear barely keeping himself afloat

matt i

i think she’s more mad at the fact that he’s never cared abt their relationship. her bein mad he never asked how she was made her upset, but in the bigger picture, it was like why are they even doin it in the first place

SunED

Yep she said they were leftovers near the end of the episode so it’s all good

Cameron Eldridge

the comments got clapped this time lol
