Last episode Mao Mao called her dad a eunuch so he must have been her foster father. Her real parents might be from the rear palace.

I think it’s possible that the babies looked similar since one baby was the previous emperor’s baby and the other was his son’s (the current emperor) baby, and the mother’s were different. Not 100% solid but could maybe somewhat explain the mix up

Well she killed the baby AND tried to poison lishu, so by turning herself in it was only revealed that she poisoned lishu. She didn't want ah-duo to know that she took away what was most precious to her with her own 2 hands.

So yeah, Jinshi is the Emperor's son, but was raised as his brother. Also keep in mind the other baby was born from the Current Emperor's dad and mother, so it makes sense that the babies looked so similar, they were uncle and nephew.

The only explanation that I can think of for them not questioning how the babies looked like was that one baby was the princes, now emperor, brother and the other one was his son, they surely looked close so no one noticed then or as Jinshi grew up, and the babies surely had to have been swapped that night when both births occurred

To clear up any confusion, Jinshi is the son of AhDuo and the current emporer, but bc the birth of the current emperor's younger brother (by his father the previous emporer and the empress dowager) took priority, AhDuo switched the babies at some point in order to protect her child. So Jinshi was raised as the younger brother of the current empower, while the real one was passed off as AhDuo's baby and died by FengMing's hands. Hope this helps.

Yeah Ah-Duo was basically one of the bros, making up the trio of Emperor, Ah-Duo & Gaoshun (also honestly explains why someone as bigboi as Gaoshun is a personal assistant to Jinshi if the implications are true)

Fengming WASN'T kidnapped tho. She WASN'T brought to the rear palace as a Servant, but as a LADY IN WAITING, who are practically without exception Nobles or at the very least richfag merchants who are practically pseudo nobles essentially. She literally even said that she merely became a Lady-In-Waiting as a form of following her parents (in fact she'd likely be of the rich merchant category since her clan produces honey, a mega luxury good in this region & era, as mentioned by Maomao 1-2 episodes ago. It's also why infant botulism isn't that known, because honey is too valuable to be given to an infant, unless you are rly rly rich merchant or noble w/ the means of doing that, and even then most probably wouldn't do that anyway)

Fengming killing the baby was a accident, but attempting to poison Lishu was no accident so her getting executed makes sense. So she went down for the crime she deserved to go down for, just protected her image with Ah Duo who she loved so much.

Now it all makes sense. I still have 2 questions: 1. Why Jinshi was acting as a eunuch in the rear palace? Because he is the official prince. 2. Does the current emperor know that Jinshi is not his little brother, but his son?

MaoMao in her hypothetical theory says perhaps that is why her father was punished with physical impairment (they removed a bone from his leg), and also perhaps that is why the emperor's brother is in a delicate position. MaoMao saying perhaps they have realized that the babies were switched making Jinshi the current emperor's oldest son.

You misunderstood the comment. They said MaoMao was kidnapped (which we know), the connection to Fengming is that her family are beekeepers and merchants and it turns out they have connections to MaoMao's kidnappers, either directly or via business.

I knew it! I was spot on, but people in the previous episode's comment section were making it seem like it was such a big mystery. My only question now is if the current emperor knows that Jinshi is his son. Ah-Duo confirmed that they were childhood friends and are still friends, so I don't think she would be afraid to tell him the truth in secret. What is he gonna do? Kill his only son? I really want to see the Interaction between Jinshi and the emperor, and hopefully Ah-Duo.

I think the end is saying that MaoMao was kidnapped by someone connected to Fengmeng. It's like Jinshi decided to look into who kidnapped MaoMao and something linked them to Fengmeng.

She's probably the only one of Lishu's servants who wants to support her, at this point Also, I think Lady Ah Duo just was always a bit manly, ever since she was young, that's part of the reason she became childhood friends with the current Emperor who was Crown Prince back then

Fengming just seemed off but if ah duo’s plan was not to remain in the rear palace why did she try to poison Lishu. Did she just do that out of her own free will bc I feel like Ah duo would’ve mentioned her desire to leave to her since she’s her lady in waiting.

I may be reading this wrong but i think they are saying MaoMao's 'employment' in the rear palace is related to Fenming because Fenmings family facilitated the kidnapping of MaoMao. It looks like, on paper at least, fenmings family is the faction that oversaw Maomao's entry into the rear palace.

They said that the palace later noticed the swap, which is why he's not considered a 'prince' and why Mao Mao's dad was exiled (for not noticing the swap, rather than anything related to a childs death)
