I do agree that it wasn't wise to hid everything from him, I don't think it's fair to blame Si Eun for this. The whole point of him hiding everything was to stop the conflict between Soo Ho and Bum but even if he didn't hide it nothing would have changed. Si Eun either cares about Bum(hence why he didn't tell the police the truth) or doesn't want Soo Ho to hurt him, which is understandable. It was just an awful situation that would've been difficult to handle due to Bum's problems.

Plsss not too much on si-eun lol 😭 He thought he was doing the right thing but it’s just ironic that keeping it from su-ho lead him down the path si-eun was trying to prevent. I felt like it would have happened either way though tbh knowing the kind of person su-ho is. Even the girl was telling him not to do anything stupid. And yes beom-seok still sucks…he should have put this energy towards the people who actually bullied him. I would say he needs to get beat up but getting beat up in this show only puts a battery in people’s back lol they don’t stay down for too long. Plus his dad already be giving him the business

i honestly dont think its Si Eun's fault. the outcome would've been the same whether he hid it from him or not. soo ho also could've brought it up but he didn't mention it either. he was gonna handle it by himself regardless. and even if he did tell the police, they were gonna cover it up anyway. ep 8 is gonna be nuts

Bum Seok 's biological parents abandoning him ----then his adoptive father's physical & emotional abuse ----then him feeling inferior bc he can't really fight/ defend himself like Soo Hoo & Si Eun ----then feeling left out/ abandoned again when yOUNG Yi joined the TRIO is why he went from 0 TO 100 out the blue. A literal domino effect. 🂂🂂🁸🁼🁲🂇🂊 Not everyone turns into him after being abandoned/ neglected/ abused... But in Bum Seok's case maybe thru therapy which he clearly never got & a hobby to occupy his DE-LU-LU thoughts/mind, such as boxing or a sport, or getting serious about his studies like Si Eun does to block out his problems...this storyline could’ve went wayyy different.

Exactly, this shows constantly has characters who get hurt but continues to get back up. The bullies never learning their lesson until it's too late. Nothing would have changed the outcome either Si Eun told the truth or not.

That's true, but it would have only been covered up for Bum seok. He may have been moved to a new school earlier and the other kids would have gotten the brunt of it because no one would cover with the police for them. Bum seok adopted father would have probably found a way to blame the incident all on the other kids making it look like they did it alone

they kept it from sooho because u saw how he got when he found out. He was in killing mode. If they never kept it from him n told him from the jump. he still would have went to the gym aka boxing ring and the outcome would be the same. If they still managed to keep it hidden, sooho would of still went to the gym because bumseok would of told him to meet him regardless. If they told the police nothing would happen and it would be swept under the rug because of bumseoks father. It is most definitely NOT sieuns + young yi’s fault.

The thing is, the characters just getting a battery put in they back is absolutely realistic. The types of people who do those things and get beat up don't usually just take they L. If they can find another way they will absolutely spin the block to get they get back.

I don't think we can even blame Si Eun for any of this. Bum Seok's dad would have covered up what Bum Seok and his friends did to Si Eun even if Si Eun would have told the police. It literally would have made no difference at all. Anything anyone would have done would not have stopped Suho from going after Bum Seok. That's just how it is.

Sieun definitely blames himself for everything that has happened. It makes you wonder what different paths may have happened if he had made different choices, but also may not have happened w/those different choices made. But aside from that, what a lovely episode end :,) Someone commented on a previous WHC episode reaction something like Sooho was a protagonist in the wrong show, and it's so true. Take all of his character traits and you've got yourself an MC. There's something about Sooho that seems very stable, and that stability was destroyed by this episode's ending, but he had that vibe that'd he would always just be there, sleeping w/his pink pillow in the corner.

I absolutely don’t think it’s Si Eun fault cuz sooho would’ve gone after bum seok either way and the same thing would’ve happened. Nothing would have changed. And Si Eun tried to depend on the police with the gang situation and they didn’t take him seriously so I don’t blame him for not trusting them either or getting them involved. Honestly I only blame bum seok. He directed his anger towards the wrong people and if he would’ve never started his villain arc, none of this would’ve happened.

Soo Ho would've gone after Bum Seok regardless if Si Eun told him or not. Snitching to the police about what Bum Seok did doesn't do anything either since his father would've covered it up just like his men are covering up the murder of Soo Ho.

Never been more wrong, catching up to this was crazy. I usually try to sympathize with characters going astray so props to the writers for making it impossible this time. Nah this isn't Si Eun's fault. Even though he tried to lie to the police the police still followed up on Young Yi's report and called Bum Seok's father and they covered up what happened to Si Eun. And the other kids would have gotten away with it too. The lawyer straight up told those 2 guys at the end after they killed Soo Ho that he would take care of it for them. They would have never let the other kids take the fall because all those guys would have to do is snitch that Bum Seok was there as well and his father's reputation would be ruined. And it wouldn't have mattered if Si Eun and Young Yi had told Soo Ho. He still would have gone after Bum Seok and even then it wouldn't have necessarily ended in them fighting. Soo Ho was willing to let it go for the sake of Young Yi and Si Eun and even apologized to Bum Seok. He only ended up hitting Bum Seok in the end because he said he didn't want to apologize to the 2 innocent people that got hurt because of him. Things could have ended right then and there between them if only Bum Seok had agreed to apologize to Si Eun and Young Yi. So no this is not Si Eun's fault.

One of the wild things to me is that Bum Seok kept trying to say that Soo Ho didn't care about him and he just thinks he's above him yet every time they had a confrontation Soo Ho would go in on the bullies but he'd always give Bum Seok an out. In the cafeteria Soo Ho didn't just toss him in the back of the line like he did the bullies. He told Bum Seok he didn't understand what was going on with him and for the second time to go to the back of the line but Bum Seok refused and only then did Soo Ho hit him. And then in this episode despite everything Bum Seok has done Soo Ho apologized for upsetting him and said he should apologize to Si Eun and Young Yi but again Bum Seok refused and again only then did Soo Ho hit him. If Soo Ho had actually never cared about Bum Seok he wouldn't have given him those chances.

I don't think it's totally fair to lay so much blame on Si Eun. Si Eun did what he thought was the best way to protect Soo Ho because he knew that regardless of Soo Ho's injury, he would have gone that night, and he would have gone as soon as he found out what happened to him as well. Even if this exact fight didn't happen and Soo Ho got his lick back on Bum Seok alone, Bum Seok still would have called that guy he paid to go after him. I would say Si Eun's biggest flaw was thinking that he could get through to Bum Seok afterwards. I agree that I would have told Soo Ho but I can't fault Si Eun for wanting to protect his first and only friends. At the end of the day these are kids. It's been made a consistent theme throughout this show that Si Eun does not trust adults, and was ignored by the police before, and it's also been made clear that no matter what Bum Seok does - his dad will cover it up to save face. Even if Si Eun and Yeong Yi had said something, Bum Seok's fathers goonies would have gone to those police officers and shut them up real quick. Summary is Bum Seok is a weak ass rat bitch.

Viewers understand he's been a victim of abuse and probably has an inferiority complex, but his self-sabotage makes it hard to even want him to get help or redemption (don't get me wrong, I still want him to get help and/or apologize, if he survives, I just am very angry at this character lmao)

Ok si eun shouldn’t be blamed he saw the other police case that he was involved in be swept completely under the rug with no force so those people would do anything to cover up anything that would tarnish the assemblyman’s reputation even causing the disappearance of a unknown high schooler so he handled it the smartest way tbh otherwise if he had pushed the wrong buttons it might have been his body that was discovered

Only one to blame is Bum Seok for creating this situation, not my boy Si Eun. You have 6 episodes before this, showing you Soo Ho standing up to bullies and wrong deeds. That's his character, stubborn and with a backbone. He still would've went even if he knew from the start. Hence why he still went, even after the girl told him not to cause trouble. They also show you that the justice system is broken and the adults are useless. That's why there's so much bullying and no one does anything.

Most of it is unfortunate. Obviously Bum Seok didn't want to kill him, but this man just doesn't know when to quit. And Soo Ho knowing he shouldn't try to get revenge, but doing it anyway (not blaming him because I'd do the same thing) also resulted in this unfortunate event. His friends not telling him what happened ALSO led to this event. It's just a whole bunch of bad ish happening and lining up perfectly that led to his demise. One of the most tragic deaths in recent television history. Probably the last one that was this tragic was Glenn from TWD.

I feel like it's weird for you to say Si Eun let that happen. Soo Ho would've died anyway because Soo Ho would've gone out to see Bum Seok anyway whether he knew or not. Soek still would've called that dude to beat him up and the events would've still happened.
