Nah there’s another way to summon a Korean teacher in those stories just have the Mc on the verge of being hospitalized or have him on the verge of hospitalizing the bullies . Do note that by summoning the teacher trough the second method will have the Mc harshly penalized while for the first he gets cussed at for getting beat up . 😁👍🏾

Weird balance of less restrictive than the US but with way higher expectations. I find it hard to keep track of when he’s at school and when he’s at a hagwon (cram school, but they might not have even shown it onscreen) in the show, but I think hagwons might be self-study too? All convenient drama excuses to never have teachers available in the classrooms lmfao.

Korean students go to school at 8am to 4:30pm then after that if they took cram school, it’s up to 9pm then when they go home, they will still study for more up to 12am. Sometimes they sleep at 2am. Yeah Its a thing

basically anyone who can afford it goes to cram school. during the summer too im pretty sure. schools stay open late and many students will stay to self-study especially if they're not going to cram school.

Even though I appreciate the equalizer reference si eun was giving me much more of a Robert Downey Jr. Sherlock Holmes impression during his fighting scenes. The way this man was breaking shit down I thought he was about to send them to another dimension. Drugs Mcgee definitely came in clutch with the money bags and su hoo was much more of the Jackie Chan this episode because he absolutely handled the protagonist and bully A's hired gun with ease. I would've also walked or caught the bus to the spot because that bike didn't look big enough and plus the meat eating scene I have to believe that the writers are doing this on purpose 👀. Finally I have to strongly disagree with sheera on one major point and that is JUMPING is sometimes absolutely necessary! Of course it's situational for example here he needed like 15 dudes to beat on someone weaker than him because he got caught lackin but for the most part if you are getting antagonized by someone and they won't leave you alone then yes commence to jump. I would literally have tracked down buddy's new school and asked my new friends to come assist because he's one of those people who refuse to learn and the next scene would be him in a yamcha pose folded with sneaker 👟 imprints all over while his goons just stand there looking stupid. Sorry if I ranted too long it's just I want everyone to understand some people NEED to get the jujutsu kaisen treatment that's all 👏👍. Also sidenote demon time is an understatement even if it was a bluff or psychological manipulation the way he was immediately ready for smoke I'm impressed.😈😤

as someone who generally doesn’t check out webtoons and just browsed the wiki, is giving names english substitutes normal? like i know it happened way more in older anime (dbz and pokémon being the main offenders in my head), but i hate when readers/watchers get treated like they’re stupid. it’s not that hard to learn a foreign name and keeping all the names matched up just seems more complicated lmao

It is indeed the prequel to the webtoon series however, the webtoon has already the backstory of the MC and they adopted it here in the kdrama with some minor changes and not affecting the main point of the prequel which will be the spoiler soo uhmm stay tune.

LMFAO the neck pillow and the hand pillow thing is common in Korea and China. Students will often sleep during break time to catch up on sleep because of the long school hours. On top of regular school, most attend cram school (tutoring after school for a few hours) they will go home and study until midnight and wake up at 6 for school again. In China and Korea some (if not most) students will sleep for maybe 5-6 hours a night. I know I'm rambling a bit but in Korea and China the University you attend determines the rest of your life due to the insane competition, if you graduate from Seoul University (top in Korea) you will be guaranteed a job so most students go crazy studying to get into a top university and "relax" when they've been admitted.

The reason why teachers aren't in classrooms for periods of time is because (We have seen this in Anime too, how it works) in the US, students go to THEIR teachers' classrooms depending on what subject it is and which teacher you have, etc... In Japan and Korea the different teachers come to YOUR classroom for each period. Sometimes teachers run late, so at the end of each period there is time without any teachers present until your next subject/period starts and the teacher comes to start class. There is a Home Room teacher assigned to each individual class, but still all the teachers generally stay in the Staff Room, grading HW, Tests, etc.

I read the webtoon of this weak hero and there are a lot of differences like the main character is more badass than this ngl and he doesn't even get touched in the webtoon like he be weaving shit. also the dude sleeping a lot wasn't in the webtoon, well at least not in his class

Super agree had a similar situation in middle school but the three aggressors plus one who just kinda hung back weren't scared. I won without taking any hits because not only was I bigger than them but I also wrestled. What they didn't know was that I was waiting outside of the store for my friends and when they came out I just told the leader to fight. I just took out the leader that was it. Wasn't as dramatic as I'm making it seem he was just a bully who got held back a few times and everyone was scared of him except me which is why I like si eun so much he just minds his business until he ultimately has to handle business.
