I think the fish thing works because of the salt in it. The salt works as an antiseptic against infection and helps close the wound faster. That's the reason why some soldiers put salt on their wounds at war when there is nothing else. I think it probably hurts like Hell tho.

I think Netflix chose to put Trap music in the background for fishmen because they wanted to make some fishy parallel (yeah nice pun) between the fishmen's opression and black people's slavery. But this is pretty retarded (and obviously racist) since there are black people in the series. Also, maybe it's just me but most fishmen in this show give me a Latino vibe instead.

I love Arlong too but yo I am annoyed with the rap beat nonsense media does that's basically "black character" or "symbolized black but not technically black but black people can relate to this character" alert. Arlong is the only fishman who is giving "black man"because he's being played by a black guy. The rest of the fishmen don't so it seems like just an Arlong thing and not a Fishman thing. Still, thr beat stuff for those types of characters is so old hat but I get why they do it. I'm more a fan of sanji's sexy swinging jazz notes going on with his scenes.

Low key I kinda wished One Piece live action made nods to 4kids silly ass censorship ( 4kids was many peoples first exposure to one piece ... well if youre in your 30s anyway). Usopp’s name is a pun based on the Japanese word for “lie” and his general character design is based on Pinocchio, as far as I know, but that’s a great theory imo

I think there is a good rule of thumb 3 min without air, 3 days without water and 3 weeks without food. Though someone once fasted (No food) for a little over a year but he was really obese and had calories to spare so not recommended https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angus_Barbieri%27s_fast

I am pretty sure Luffy saying "it sucks that he lost the city of gold" about Noland's story, is a tease to him being able to see through the truth of things("voice of all things" being the official name of this..) because when Nami "corrected" him, Luffy confidently said that stories can have multiple points. It does get tricky about when Luffy is being a complete dummy and when he is "in the zone" and sharp, lol.

if you have lots of water, it is absolutely possible to survive 20 days no food. There was a dude who used zinc, iron, and mineral supplements in water to go 60 days no food. Now if a child did it, theyd have learning disabilities after-but you know... everyone in shonen does
