and i just got to work too yall are a blessing

Extra early today 🙏🏽

Devin B

Even if Annette opened the cage last episode whose to say he would've been able to escape, Olrox and Drolta were there so even if Eduaord tried to escape they would've stopped him or worse just kill him for insubordination. Leaving him captive was the safe bet to ensure nothing happens to him.

Spriggz

Love the morning drop guys! At least one in the morning and the rest later is so nice :)

Anonymous

I find the difference between Annette and Richter's reaction to their trauma kinda interesting. Annette has a point about not allowing the past to control you, and she looks down on Richter for it. But at the same time, Annette got the chance to be mentored/taught to use her magic and then got to face off with Vaublanc again with the tools to beat him and a literal army behind her. Richter never got the opportunity to face his fears again when he was more capable, and in fact lost his ability to do magic. So of course when Olrox shows up, Richter's only response is to revert right back to the scared child he was when they first met. When it comes to Olrox he's pretty much always been alone, and Olrox is waaaaay more dangerous than Vaublanc.

AnnameSama

I appreciate you so much for the early upload! I'm watching this during my NCR-EMG. Thanks for distracting me from the electrified needles in my back. Truly!!

bleach

At first I thought Juste was Trevor but that wouldn't make sense

QuanArt

Nah bro bro Juste Is legit to lore

ab

Juste had his own game (he's the grandson of Simon), but unlike the other Belmonts, he didn't fight Dracula directly in his game. So that's probably why he flies under the radar since most people who saw this had the same reaction as Richter.

Anthony Chase

Juste was a protagonist of one of the older Castlevania games

Thomas Juino

Edouard has the hands ion his face because it's the last fram we saw when he died ^^ look back, you'll see

Joshua Burns

Juste is an actual person in the family line I don’t believe he’s made up

Anthony Chase

He was one of the few Belmonts to directly come from Sypha and Trevor I believe. So not long after Simon

DatKid_Kaneki

“if i let my past terrify me” bro u literally the reason why we are all in this situation bc of how u reacted to ur past.

Kody Hill

Ngl Annette was tripping, she did not have any empathy for Richter even though she did the same thing that almost got them killed. Btw with Juste Belmont, he is a real character and in lore he is Simon’s Grandson I believe.

JonJon's Kooky Quest

Same. At first I thought they were bringing back Saint Germain somehow and this was just a super ultra grandpa design for him (they look similar to me at first glance), but the second he started talking I was like “Old Man Trevor?!? Not Possible but???”

Chuzo

It was so obvious that The Abbot was Maria's father. Especially with the way he talks to her and her mother And not to mention they look alike come on now lmao

DatKid_Kaneki

i think juste mostly used sorcery? than his whip i think

Chance

they're the only characters with bright blonde hair

Solivigant Kaiba

2600 Ok so Anette is a hypocrite. Her own ptsd is the reason why Eduard died, and who comforted her and was understanding? Richter. So what she is saying right now is kinda infuriating and bs. I get where she's coming from but if she refuses to have sympathy and cut Richter some slack then she is nothing but a hypocrite. Additionally, it's not like he just left them, he told them to run because it was dangerous, both Drolta AND Olrox? Yeah. Ptsd aside that woulde have been a problem that they were not ready for. We still don't know atp in time whether Olrox will fight the main cast or aid them.

Jigga Man

So Dracula and Alucard should still be alive right? Unless Dracula got brought back as a human then he would have died already but Alucard should still be alive.. and maybe he has kids as well? Would Alucard's kids be immortal halfpires as well?

JonJon's Kooky Quest

A thing I’d like to add though for the people dunking on Annette for dunking on Richter’s reaction to Olrox (not saying that this comment is doing this. It’s actually not doing that at all and is just talking about the differences that lead to their different reactions. I just see people harping on Annette a lot elsewhere and wanted to add into this comment) is that the viewer, Maria, and Tera know all of this about Richter. Annette doesn’t. She might assume he has a similarly close support system like she had because they also have their own rebellion that he’s a part of in France. Also, she only knows vaguely that a vampire killed his mother and he watched it happen. She didn’t get a full story time from Richter about the whole ideal like she gave for everyone else after they lost Edouard. Also, edit here: I’m not saying this makes the way she reacted not annoying or frustrating (I was annoyed), but I’m saying a lot of people are going in on her like she knows every detail about Richter’s trauma and is going out of her way to put him down knowing everything that we know when she literally doesn’t know everything.

LiquidXGravity

Lol 😆 I though Juste was a typo until I saw the end

Chuzo

Juste Belmont is so goated and op he's the main character of Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance. He also has the best drip out of the belmonts in his prime! and the only one born with white hair. alright im done glazing lmao

Yahroh

Yo yall dirty posting this this early when you know some people got jobs lol

Edwin Angkasa

Ersebet over here tryna be Ultimate Kars

Vincent S Deluca

Yeah Dracula and Alucard should be around still, With Dracula there a possibility he's dead again lol, I assume his wife died by now with their second chance. If Alucard had kids it could go either way I think, They may be half Vampire but also may just be regular Humans

kai

lmao that vampire Anette killed was so petty he was talking shit so she would let her guard down 😂

Kody Hill

My thing with Annette is that writers made her cool but then quickly made her have like a mean streak of chastising Richter for something she do as well. It’s a little hypocritical but if Richter during her whole flashback episode said it’s her fault, that wouldn’t help anybody anyways. Hopefully they expand in that second season.

Jigga Man

With Dracula I'm thinking if he came back as a vampire then he may as well have turned his wife into a vampire. We see they're both going to hell already when they die so why not just extend your time on earth? They could survive on animal blood if it's a moral thing for his wife. Alucard's kids I'd love to see, I don't believe they'd be 100% human because Alucard is just such a strong vampire. Would be interesting to see a vampiric forge master 😅

MDLNubes

For Sheera, Eduard had Vampire hands around his face, when he failed to cross the bridge/slain. I'm unsure if thats the entire reason, but gotta be symbolic in some way. Maybe a ref to an art piece/ theme.

Tsuki

Juste Belmont is the main protagonist in Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance. Won’t say anymore just in case it spoils anything in upcoming seasons of the show

MDLNubes

Also how the mum knew the passage

Anonymous

Juste is Simons grandson and one of the the most powerful Magic users in the belmonts legacy so strong he barely use the whip

LeFlaneur

I like the scene at Tara’s house because even if the Abbot is definitely on the wrong side, he gives another perspective on the Revolution. When we think revolution and liberation we often have this image of Ghandi, Mandela, MLK, but most revolutions have some pretty vile and brutal acts committed for the cause.

Bleachsg

Lmao "i was tought to fear people with this mark now i know they understand what freedom means" holy what am i watching this years oscar bait?

Erica Collins

I'm not saying I'm on the Abbot's side but aye I can get fighting evil with evil. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do for what you think is the greater good. I just think siding with vampires is a terrible idea and turning people into night creatures is messed up

Thallon

I feel like if Annette freed Eduard. He would have gotten killed right then and there

Godrick

well that explains why she randomly summons things from the other world.. shes a forge master... who doesnt use corpses?

Godrick

really named this guy "Just-a-belmont"

Painted black

Roshi: he’s her dad 😲 Sheera: they were banging 😏 Lupa: what’s going on?

KeYo

why my dumbass was screaming alucard at the screen I felt so stupid lmaooo

Kingmakaii

Roshi the funny thing is 50 cent said in a interview the nigga that shot him dead lmao if I remember correctly he was like ik who shot me and ik he dead 😭🤣

Dark Shogun

I can understand Annette not freeing Eduard when she was in the dungeon. They were in the middle of battle and had to retreat. It would have taken too long to get the cuffs off of him and get him out of the cell. Not only that, he was afraid of her at this point because of her trying to put him to rest. And on that note, you said in the previous video she should have asked if he wanted to die. Most creatures would have said no.

2023-10-11 20:46:44 I can kinda understand annette anger because when she saw her mother killer again she was on go😆.but at the same time she probably saw him everyday for years while richter is just seeing him again after 10 years

Alex

Juste is from Castlevania harmony of dissonance is on the game boy advance

Abigail Clark

Juste is a character in the games! He's the protag of uuh Harmony of Dissonance

SharkMessiah101

Since it’s been revealed I can explain the inspiration for these characters. In the video game this season was based off of Maria was the daughter of a Dark Priest who resurrected Dracula, she had powerful magic which merged with her being the daughter of a forgmaster letting her give nature sports physical forms and summoning them to aid her. The Dark Priest in this case is her father an actual priest who is trying to do good but is failing hard lol.

WolfEatZombies

And with the introduction of Juste,we've seen 1 of the 3 strongest Belmonts (atleast in terms of the game)

Charlie baker

lupa trevor is 1400s,simon is 1600s and both juste and richter are 1700s. Simon was skipped and probably wont be the focus of the next series if they do it either as so far theyve picked two of the 3 points in castlevania history that alucard was involved in.

Candy

Priest is not wrong about the judis logic tho everyone has a part to play is he didn’t betray Jesus the events that led up to he’s death would’ve have took place

Nate D.

yea guess I shouldnt come into the comments until I finish a show

Jaelyn Mcgee

Roshi's got a good singing voice lol. and the scene of them singing in french but speaking in British accents is so jarring

Drake Rage

Juste Belmont showing Richter what MC energy looks like, lmao. I think Olrox knew Annette was there, I don't think Drolta woulda let her go if she knew Annette was there, she would have taken Annette by surprise and killed her right there.

2023-10-11 23:54:36 I'm not really fucking with Annette's lack of empathy for Richter, she saw her mother's killer for years (probably everyday on the Plantation) until Edouard helped her to finally escape, so she had plenty of time to compartmentalize and separate her hate from her fear. Richter hadn't seen Olrox since that night, of course that would be a shock, he had buried trauma he had yet to deal with.
2023-10-11 21:34:00

Brandon Ali

Like I understand Juste is an old mofo now with the moves still but man he had D.R.I.P. in his art all the time. Still glad to see him in the show regardless of his usage.

Bobby Robinson

How did you guys not pick up on that earlier 😂😂

Merfhew

@Eric --- Don't worry. He's talking about the games, not the show. The writing team has taken a lot of liberties (in both original Castlevania and Nocturne), so there will be lore that doesn't transfer over from the games.

Charlie baker

Its literally based on rondo of blood and symphony of the night, the later alucard is the main character of and this is common knowledge about nocturnes setting

Anonymous

So amazing to see Juste Belmont, even has that after image effect from Harmony of Dissonance on GBA. Simon Belmont is his grandfather

WackySwacky

Julia was made up for the show, as Ritcher's parents are never named in the games. Juste is a real Belmont from the games. He was the protagonist of Harmony of Dissonance on the GBA (great game). He is the grandson of Simon and grandfather of Ritcher. His game takes place in 1748, so he appears to be aged appropriately here.

WackySwacky

Annette's lack of empathy for the protagonist reminds me of Amber from Invincible.

Ebronics

i know right?! aint but 3 blonds in the whole season. of coarse they're related

Isaac

Sheera needs to be reminded what demonic design is. Stuck on Eduards hands over the eyes is like questioning why a Biblical Angel has 97 eyes and 14 wings with no body. It's pure demonic symbolic character design.

Bona Fide

Okay Idk why I didnt say this before but she made the right call to not let him out. She just scared him and he was in the corner. If she had let him out, he probably wouldnt have moved and she'd have to forcefully drag him or leave him then everybody else would know that night creature means something to her or they would've killed him. You can't help someone when they're scared of you and he wouldn't have gotten out of there by himself against everybody if she opened it and left.

Bona Fide

@Alfredo I like it because it's realistic and shows the difference between how 2 people with similar/same trauma handles it. and wasnt Vaublanc literally on the plantation with annette who got into trouble multiple times cause she tried to run away multiple times?

Bona Fide

@WackySwacky Also, how is she like Amber? Their ONLY similarity is being black. Amber had no shared trauma. They were just dating. She wasnt a super hero to understand and have her reasonings. Annette and Richter literally have the same trauma. Both unfortunately caused their moms death and it happened right in front of them.

Isaac

@wackyswacky Here's a guy who ignores the fact that Mark also mistreated Amber.

Isaac

Anette didn't know about any of that until after Richter ran away. All she knew was that a vampire killed his mom and that's it. The situation and the mission was going crazy and she literally sees him leave her behind after all that talk and hype to see things through. Of course in her anger she isn't gonna be apathetic to his plight. A LOT of people would react like Anette in their anger. Don't even bring that irrational Amber bullshit to Anette.

Isaac

Stop saying Richter didn't just leave them. He did just leave them. ALL OF THEM. He turned ran and didn't look back. Didn't even make sure they safely got out. He ran ran ran and didn't stop. He left them behind. Shouting we gotta get the fuck out doesn't matter. He left and didn't stay with them to the end.

Isaac

Uh. Ok so he was death monologueing .. he didn't say none of that to have her guard down. He said all that as a last fuck you.

Isaac

Yep, the situation at hand was an emotional shock for both her and Eduard to the point where Anette had no idea what was right for him seeing that he's an enslaved Night Creature and made the mistake of terrifying him with the talk of mercy killing him which he didn't want.

DickGarrison

Jutse isn't made up for the lore. He was a beast in his prime. He was the strongest Belmont before Richter was born. If you play any of the castlevania games. You play as him in Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance on gameboy advance

Steve

if I recall, he clapped up one of the strongest demons.

Champion Bescos

He's the one who told them that going there was a mistake; he wanted to exercise caution. He also yelled at them to run before he left, and any comprehensive individual would understand they were all outnumbered and outgunned with those heavy hitters. Annette can be as irrationally mad as she wants, it doesn't change the fact that whether Richter ran or not, they would not have freed Eduard, and if she'd stayed, she would have died. She's a "better-than-thou" character, simple as that.

Champion Bescos

That's how trauma works, Isaac. It isn't rational. If her anger at the sight of the plantation owner was justified/defendable, so it his instinct to run away from am an he hadn't seen outside of his nightmares in years, a big contrast to a girl who saw her mothers murderer everyday and was allowed the chance to grow with her anger and turn it into proactive rage. Two different situations, two different responses.

Alfredo

Exactly and she was the one who got Eduard killed basically, she couldn't control her anger and fucked up the recon mission, she was takes Richter's caution for cowardice and it's annoying.

Kuno-chan

So, this is really funny to me when looking at Olrox and the others: In case it's not obvious yet, Olrox is Native American (Aztec) and none of the other characters ever seem the catch his lack of enthusiasm about empires and people wanting to make new worlds lol. He's seen how that whole idea tends to go down.

DestructoDiscman

To be fair to Annette, the show doesn't really treat her as fully justified, and even her spirit guide tells her to chill out. She's just so angry from being enslaved her whole life that she doesn't have much patience for anyone, despite her own flaws. A character flaw to be sure but an understandable one. Richter himself said it earlier, he was able to flee but she couldn't, and because of that he never really had to face his unresolved trauma until now.

WolfEatZombies

For all intents and purposes yes Richter is stronger (generally the next Belmont descendant is stronger than the previous) But between the 2 of them,Simon's the only 1 to beat Dracula back and back with absolutely no help and didn't know magic (plus he's cursed and dying the 2nd time around)

Jordan Smith

I have hoping someone would bring this up. They literally said before they went there that they didn't know anything about night creatures. Then when she spoke to him he seem to barely remember anything and from her time knowing him she likely figured that being a night creature under someone else's control would be the last thing he would want so killing him to spare him of that existence made sense. Then as you said he back away and was afraid of her which made it unlikely that he would come with her willing in the few moments they had while trying to escape.

vesra

I'm pretty sure the attempt to resurrect Dracula didn't work though. Lisa and Dracula were still in Hell holding each other from what I remember.

Jigga Man

They definitely did, they were shown finding lodging in a town at the end

Sean

Olrox is based off an aztec serpent god thats why he's like that

Merfhew

I'm ashamed to admit I didn't catch it either. Well, I did, but only barely. When he visited their house and asked about Maria, that was the moment when I connected the dots. Fun fact, but Tera and Maria are not related to each other in the games (they're pretty close in age, actually). It's interesting to see how the writers have repurposed some of the cast.

Bobby Robinson

Ahh gotcha I just saw how they were looking at each other I that cellar this his reaction when she got hurt I was like yeah that’s her papa 😂😂

Love this show but I can’t help constantly thinking everybody smells like inside dirty booty hole

Bona Fide

exactly and it shows how 2 people with similar trauma handles it and we can understand both.

WeavyBoo

vesra you must have missed the couple minutes at the end of the s4 of the previous show. It shows that the two of them got brought back, though neither of them have any idea how.

entity

not everybody who watches the shows has played the games though is all lol

Zachary Shepard

Ian Glenn ( Jorah Mormont) voices Juste. Juste is a character in the games, but they changed him a bit for the show. In the games he’s just a relative of Richter’s, not his grandpa.

sanik

I just don't think she knows Olrox like that at this point - I haven't watched ahead but when she put up her fist to show the brand her people were given and taught to avoid and then confronted all I could think of in my head was that's cool and all but bro's opp can turn into a dragon

Bader

i wont lie i thought the old man was saint germain time traveled to current timeline lol

Anonymous

He is also a boss from Castlevania Symphony of the Night where he turns into a giant reptilian monster, but the Aztec serpent detail is the idea of the show writers. Nice touch though

SleeperKnight117

Hey, roshi, lupa-san, and Sherra. I love all of your guys' reactions. I was wondering if guys could consider reacting to "RWBY" It's one of my favorite shows of all time. And for any of the RWBY fans in the comments who are higher-tier patrons let's try to get a poll going that would be amazing. Also, now hear me out but I would also like it if you guys could react to MLP too. It's not a bad show and shows that have as crazy of a fan base as MLP isn't just for show something about the show is good(all of it). But that's just me putting my thoughts out there. Whether you do or not won't make me stop watching your guy's content at all.

2023-10-18 07:43:58 i dont know which came first, but that origin of erszebeth sounds like the comic book character purgatori mixed with annette. egyptian slave girl turned vampire goddess and master sorceress. her specialty? blood bending. and im not talking that weak sauce of just controlling a person's body. i mean actually summoning blood and controlling it like its water.

He never once asked to be released from the cage he was just being toxic and trying to leave a mark before he died
