It wont get mentioned in the anime but Abel's third line is from the magic he absorbed from the other students. He doesn't normally have 3 lines.

Hear me out here's my theory Mash actually has 3-4 lines on his forehead but you can't see it because of his hair blocking it. Something similar to Harry Potter with his scar on his forehead but you can see it lol.

Last episode, Abel mentions Rayne would've been able to fight against Abyss and the eye, and Rayne said Cell War was on par with a Divine Visionary, so it probably doesn't work on higher tier magic

I kinda find it sus that in that world they don't want people that are magicless. I mean they would just treat them as inferior people or slaves people can always get behind treating others as inferior if it means they are superior. I think this is a world where all people are born with magic and those that don't have it might have immunity or something else. That is why they want to purge them, some hidden history i believe. Any thoughts? Thank you for the reaction
