i was never really into idols but do enjoy a decent performance so this show was perfect. it had the perfect mix of mystery + slice of life + realistic background of the entertainment industry and other modern stuff + these non cgi idol dances. Cant wait for s2

Given the popularity of this show and given how perfectly todays chapter of Oshi No Ko lines up with the end of season 1, I am really excited to see todays manga reveal shown in what should be around the ending of season 3. Season 2 has been announced already and I'm really excited for it. People didn't like it as much when it was coming out (the manga chapters) but I feel like when you get to read it all at once its amazing and I think the pacing will be so much better when put into anime format. My favorite part about that chapter is that it reveals something completely unexpected about the world building and motivations of the villain, over a 100 chapters in. Completely changed how I saw the series.

yeah it fit so well with some of the things said in todays chapter and what was shown on screen in the anime. Hearing the trio talk about what might happen etc. made me finally understand manga readers of other series and novel readers for stuff like game of thrones (when that was still a thing) cause there's such a strong urge to talk about stuff but you can't cause its major spoilers lol

The best way I would describe Kana's star power is like a faraway galaxy. She has a bunch of stars to represent her various skillset but because she's insecure about her own talent it's hard for those stars to shine. Ai and Ruby are able have a star that is visible to everyone and they're not afraid to hold anything back which makes their star shine bright.

Makes sense, it would've broke the pacing this episode and cut into the setup for next season, and they never really addressed it again even though it felt like it was a set up for something (I thought she got referenced later down the line but on subsequent read throughs I couldn't find it)

In terms of blowing away my expectations, this show absolutely takes the cake for this season. The only reason I even gave it a try is because of a Gigguk video where he praised the manga. So glad that I did, because the production value was insane! I really hope they can keep this quality going into season 2!

There's an entire section of the manga they cut from the episode featuring that Idol at the start of the episode that was going to watch their performance. While watching B-Komachi she basically has a teen-life crisis in her head and ultimately decides to quit being an idol. Kinda weird that they introduced her at all considering there was no payoff.

The difference I see between Ruby and Kana is that Ruby goes out there and shows how talented she is, with or without support. Kana is very talentedc as much or maybe even a little more than Ruby, but she puts herself down if she doesnt see people supporting her.
