10/10 ep!! Thank you for the reaction

Ferdz

Canute is really gonna pull up on Thorfinn the Pacifist and be mad confused

Ginger Dwarf

Coin tossing boy left after Olmar won. I assume he thought the other 4 would then kill Olmar. Not accounting for Thorgil to join the fight. That's my best guess anyway.

Mimi

Welcome back!! such a great episode can't wait for y'all to see what's next

Mozart Waddell

Lief with the business acumen. He secured the bag while cutting a deal for Thorfinn. Impressive indeed.

Godrick

Olmars a clown, but tbh i feel for him. Have you ever been so mad youre crying while trying to throw hands? i have... niggas usually don't want the smoke when youre that serious. fuck around and break somebodys jaw cuz your so emotional..

MWS

The kings guard thought Olmsted would kill the first guy as planned and then the other guys would jump him

Kenisha & Kim

its gonna be the biggest plot armor if thorfinn talk no jujustu canute like the only way i would be ok with it if he started off with peace but then be like ok ur obviously not listening so i need to be violent for u to get it or the classic side step

Next 2 episodes gonna be HEAVY

Theo Vorster

For those who are interested in reading along with the manga, this episode adapted the entirety of chapters 77-78. The next episode appears to be finally adapting the last five pages of chapter 73 and all of chapter 74 along with chapter 79 (since the anime rearranged the original presentation/order of scenes from different settings). So this is an east mistake to make, but the coin-guy (likely one of Canute’s espionage men) is not the same person as Wulf. While they have similar hair color and both have facial hair, if you pay close attention you can tell their faces (and voices) are different. If it wasn’t clear from this episode, Canute’s plan for Olmar originally just involved getting Olmar to maim/kill one of the king’s messengers, and then be killed/captured in turn (in order to create a “justification” for arresting Ketil and seizing his assets). As Wulf said, Thorgil intervening and killing the remaining messengers and guards was an unplanned oversight, though now Canute has even more “justification” to arrest a seize the assets of the Ketil family. Some other bits of trivia: the scene of Einar and Thorfinn plowing and watching the sunset at the end of this episode was an anime original scene. Also there was a line of Canute’s that’s somewhat important to his characterization that got cut (likely for run-time). Anyways the cut line comes right after Canute asks the haunting head of his father why the latter is laughing, and the cut line Canute follows up with is: “Is the deepening of my sin entertaining to you?”. So if it wasn’t clear from the rest of Canute’s characterization this episode, he is quite self-aware of the immoral qualities of his plans to seize Ketil’s farmland.

olivia

wulf was not the man in the hood, i repeat, wulf was not the man in hood. that was a completely different character 🙏

Jose Iglesias

To Sheeras point about Thorfinn not being happy about Leif’s deal, I think any slave in history would be happy to have a deal made for their freedom lol plus Leif never wanted Thorfinn to be a warrior, he wants him to find peace

Moses T24

To me, I think the only reason it wouldn't be ok is that Thorfinn wouldn't want to leave Einar back as a slave to farm by himself, and in a sense, Thorfinn has already found his own peace

Zach Saltou

yo. 102 isnt enough either, this is the new and improved thorphin

Outcast107

Really glad you guys are enjoying this season. Didn't think you three would be hating, but its a shame that so many are just because of no action. Oh well, their lost.

PolishWizard

Feel like what happened to Olmar could possibly shape him into a good successor to Kelti if they manage to regain the farm.

NecDW4

Man, i just wanna see something like Thorgil start getting uppity and full of himself only for Canute to go "Yo, Thorkell, straighten this fool out" LUL

Joshua

whatever name my girl wants for our kid, i'm adding thor in front of it.

Stephen D

Olmar started ugly crying. You know shit is about to get bad one someone starts ugly crying.

Deric J

Y’all are in for a ride from here on out with this series! Became my favorite manga from this point forward

Sergio

these next couple episodes will be peak

Sergio

they ain’t ready for when thorketil comes back

Hans Wurst

Olmar isn't that bad in my eyes. He's an idiot but he takes a lot after his dad. He could have killed Thorfinn and Einar back then but he was not willing to go through with it despite them being 'just slaves'. His biggest problem is that he is corrupted by norse morals and his brother into seeking a life that just isn't for him.

Drake Rage

The coin dude wasn't Wulf, you see Wulf's BIG ass scars all across his face? The coin dude didn't have any scars.

DsWorldd •

Wulf got a big ass scar on his face and dude always has his eyes shut. They just both have brown hair. Coin dude was some unnamed guy, I think his name was Gotoh or maybe Connor from cyberlife

Erica Collins

I can't decide if I hate Olmar because of his pride or feel bad for him because of how bad he keeps embarrassing himself. I hope this experience changes him for the better tho

Drake Rage

I am happy that didn't turn out into a worst case scenario where Ketil got killed or arrested. It looks like there will be some character growth with Olmar since he probably finally realized becoming a "warrior" wasn't what he thought it was going to be, the feeling of killing people, etc.

Nabi

I guess the plan was like this, Olmar kills one guard then gets killed by other guards. The plan was successful at first but then Thorgill killed the guards that supposed to kill Olmar. That's why they were shocked why Olmar is alive.

Mari

This episode had me dying bruh 😂😂

Philbo

I have no issue with there being a minimal amount of action in this season so far. I actually appreciate that they are focusing on character development. My gripe with this season is that we watched thorfinn work on farm for 9 damn episodes with the no progression to the plot. Canute’s story is very intriguing and it’s pushing the storyline forward. Like I’d Canute didn’t do what he was doing then would me would have an entire season of thorfinn and einar farming…. And I think it was a couple episodes ago when he had the nightmare/dream running into askeladd and I loved that but I hated the fact that thorfinn started crying and apologizing to the people he killed cause to me it literally made no sense why he all of sudden started feeling bad about the people he killed years ago. Also, I have 0 interest in einar after what he did in the first episode. If he gets better later then cool but at this moment, not a fan. There is more but this shit is too long as it is lol but that’s just my opinion on it.

Manny

"who's he talking to? us?" im fucking crying bro

Candy

regarding to action it depends on how many seasons they doing really but they spent the entire first seasons building this nigga thoriffin up to be a problem a warrior just at the start of season 2 to swore of violence even after the encounter with fox when even he saw like yea your body is trying to tell you that your a warrior i head someone say its like that in the manga that he actually sticks to it till the end so i dont know how much they will be following the manga but for if they did like the viking show when ragnar was savage and humble at the same time and them became wise at end that would be great

Oliver

It was not Wolf shooting the coins it was his subordinate that stood behind him when talking with King Canute. I say king because he earned that title

Asellian

bruh season 3 about to go hard but its a good place to end it :'(

That Guy

I just went to the vinland saga wiki and found out this dude thorgill is 24.wtf!!

A1_MiLFshAkE

Thorgill's BS meter definetely been up since the meeting with Canute. Thorgill put in a word about meeting the king and they were almost. immediately able to see him this is a red flag as a king has more important matters when compared to meeting a simple landowner.

WeavyBoo

Lupa really said "Who is he talking to? Us?" XDDDD

Anonymous

I think the reason they were suprised was because they didn't expect Thorgill to be there. The dude that launched the coin probably didn't speak to them so they just expected the friends of the man that died to kill Olmar and take the father under arrest

ok

Is there a reason yall dont watch with the official subs?

L.C.

No one else hearing static sound in the background of the audio....

Infinity

i think what Torfin meant is he swore off violence not fighting. His father never swore off fighting he swore of violence. I think its about the Warriors path of being a protector rather than an assailant. Im sure he's gonna pop up to defend that farm.,

Alex

Holy shit this is a good anime.

FlorYA19 Arauz

“Who he talking to ? Us?” I SCREAMED 😭😭

Mary L.

Canute wanting to create a "utopia" through death and violence is big Light Yagami energy. I still fw him tho ngl bc to quote Roshi, "Canute is beautiful."

Precious

I thought Thorgill was just an unstable meathead, this episode really mad me like him, he's the only reason his brother and father is still alive
