This episode fucking rocks. I always love when long form stories do an isolated episode every now and then to change up the vibe and explore different territory. I especially love the seven samurai x western theme of this one. Also that throat rip was straight out of mortal kombat lmao.

Back when I did BSA hikes we'd walk from a designated start point to Springfield which was about 20-25 miles, and it took us about 8-12hrs and longer for slower walkers. Even though we did prep hikes of 10-15 miles for weeks, we'd still be tired asf by the end, after my fifth time doing it, the end wasn't so bad, but you'd still feel it in your legs. Those other people in the saloon probably wouldn't last the night.

At a standard military 15-minute/mile pace you do 12 miles in 3 hours. If you kept that pace for 30 miles that's about 7.5 hours. A more likely time would be around 10-12 hours of walking for most people.
