if you remember the big green dragon dude from Magi who was with Sinbads crew that's Dragul/Drakon. So yes he was in Magi but he wasn't human there.

Spoiler but really not no spoiler because it’s not ever going to be shown in the anime unfortunately 😭😭 Later in the story when he becomes a household member of sinbads, he had to fight these guys, and unfortunately he was not strong enough and just couldn't win. As soon as he was about to lose, Drakon's metal vessel talked to him and offered to give him more power, which Drakon agreed to of course, given the situation he was in, and then he became a dragon which he will forever stay in that form

Just to comment on how Sinbad gets his sword out of his sheath, when you compare a sword with their sheath the sheath is actually made to be a little wider than the actual blade so that you can pull the sword out without it touching the sheath. With Sinbad's sword because it's curved the bottom part of the sheath is made slightly bigger than the rest of it to accommodate for the curve.

sheaths for scimitars are open on the top edge to allow the sword to go in and usually have some sort of strap to keep the sword in, idk if they'd bother animating that though

Just saying that when Drakon appears again in the manga it is a big surprise, shamefully the anime doesn't covers much and we don't get to see him again. Maybe if they someday make more seasons.

Btw, when you finish the series, I strongly recommend to read the manga of the adventures of sinbad and magi, it is amazing how everything connects itself and all the adventures they have.
