When he went into the dungeon, what he saw wasn't an illusion. From my understanding dungeons are in an alternate dimension. If you remember from the original Magi series it happened the same way when they went in and came out.

Scimitar usually never really were that fat at the end irl unlike in videogames and movies but people would just make a 'sheath' that's more of a wrapping like in the show or just a significantly fatter sheathe overall.

I was about to come comment that he must be the same person as the dragondude (kinda obvious given the name tbh), cuz I instantly recalled I'd heard the name somewhere before, then shortly after connected the name to the dragonoid dude (duhh, kinda obvious once again)

Its not obvious at all... I can't remember them saying anything about their past so you'd have to really put the pieces together aside from remembering his name. It doesn't help that he spends the entire show as Sinbad's rival. why did i think his name was Drakkon... cuz sinbad changed it lol
