All these dudes are legends, Matt Mercer the creator, if you are a big gamer, is probably one of the most common voices you have heard over the years. Him and liam o'brian(vax) pretty much voiced the entirety of Fallout NV for example. This is prob my favorite VA cast of all time.

"Good thing these titties were here" is such a mood tbh... -So in this, most of the party hasn't been to Vasselheim, but in the Campaign it was a place they had visited often. It's essentially a city where all of the major deities of the world have a temple. For copyright reasons(especially with the recent OGL bullshit)they change the names of the deity. Where Grog faced Groon was basically a temple to the God Kord(The Storm Lord). -You have now seen the standard Critter greeting, "Bidet!" so if you've seen people shouting that in your comments, that's why. -Zahra and Kashaw(Kash) were actually recurring guest players on critical role. Mary Elizabeth McGlynn played Zahra and Will Friedel(The older brother on Boy Meets World and Ron Stoppable on Kim Possible) was Kash. They split the cast up and each half went on a different adventure with a different member. Kash and Zahra have been on multiple times since and are fan favorites! -Another fan favorite you got to see this episode was VICTOR THE BLACK POWDER MERCHANT! He is also voiced by Matt mercer. Every time they would go to Vasselheim they would ask Percy if he needed more black powder just so they could talk to Victor. Matt would have them in TEARS with that voice. -Ah, Earthbreaker Groon. "Where do you find your strength?" is a sentence that hits hard with any Critter. They did him SUCH justice in this. Grog is the man who tanked ACID and Groon handed him his ass on a silver platter. -Zahra is a Tiefling, someone for whom their bloodlines was touched in some way by a devil from The Nine Hells. This results in somewhere randomly down your bloodline a tiefling gets born. -Zahra is a Warlock and Kash is a Cleric with his deity being a god of death named Vesh who he is married to o.o ! -Originally Vox Machina got in trouble with The Slayer's Take for killing a beast The Take had a contract for. -You've now been introduced to The Calamity. The war between The Prime Deities against the Primordial Titans and The Betrayer Gods. The event that resulted in The Divine Gate being erected separating the gods from walking The Prime Material Plane. -Ahhh the Vestiges of Divergence! I just gotta say man, I have watched this since I randomly tuned into like episode 14 of campaign 1 during their live stream. I haven't missed a stream since and that was like 8 years ago lol. I've also been watching yall for a few years now and NEVER did I think I'd hear yall talking about Emon and Vasselheim and The Vestiges of Divergence. This is wiiiiiiild! I'm so stoked yall are enjoying this. If yall ever are interested, I'll run a one shot DnD session for yall! 3-4 hours, discord for voices, roll20 for virtually rolling dice and it does all the stuff automatically for you. Director Nasty over on the Yaboyrocklee channel is in one of my campaigns lol

To answer your question at the end. The production of season 1 and season 2 were done at the same time because amazon Greenlit two seasons straight off the bat. Seasons 3 is already well in production and although it may not be a year like between season 1 and 2 but it will probably be around a year and a half.

Laura and Ashly are prob the 2 most goat'd in the cast from the amount of high profile shit they have done. Laura especially is one of my all time favorites just because of Jaina tbh.

the monk Grog was fighting was Earthbreaker Groon! He's like the head monk/priest to the Stormlord--he's INSANELY powerful, the cartoon does a great job of showing just how hard he kicked Grog's ass during their fights in the original campaign

Was it just me or were there some fun nods to characters this episode from the BlackStar cartoon show’s gnome guy at the vasselheim council, two of the Battle Chasers among the Slayers Take, the Akuma wannabe, and the Avatar-ish gunpowder guy, it felt like one big copyright dodging cameo filled episode.

It could have been. They're all huge animation fans and so is everyone at Titmouse. Victor(the black powder merchant) though is drawn straight from Matt Mercer's Halloween costume on a Halloween episode of critical role. Google "Matt Mercer Victor Costume" and you can probably find it, it's hilarious 😂

The "are you scared no one will live long enough to see you achieve it" to Keyleth is even worse than how it initially sound. Because it's not just about the others dying in combat. Keyleth will outlive all of them by a factor, even if everyone dies of old age. She is a half-elf (like Vex and Vax) so just by the nature of her race she will live to 150-180. However she is also a high level druid. And for druids there is a game rule that states: "Begining at 18th level, the primal magic that you wield causes you to age more slowly, for every 10 years that pass, your body ages only 1 year." So she will easily live another 1500 years. Which also means watching everyone around her die, one after another.
