Bachira is also on demon time

Comments

HopelesslyImmersed

Just for anyone watching. Kunigami's shot is legit. If you hit the ball at the right angle and force, it begins wobbling because of the air resistance so its hard to read the trajectory

Gunny

Lol the titles everyone on demon timing fr 😭

Denickart

Unohana's on demon time, Nightfall's on demon time, everybody's on demon time

gamerman1902

Next episode is bout to be ego teaching these fools the art of the penalty kick after that last Japan match 😂 PS that boy Bachira literally Japanese Ronaldinho god damn

Hazard of Duke

"There was no spin!" Sheera: It spun okay sheera 😂

Russ

They gotta watch Black Clover now

Kaleb

In case y'all didn't know, when a ball has no spin, it moves in an unpredictable pattern, seemingly moving in anywhich direction. This is the concept for knuckballs in baseball and float serves in volleyball. It's the same concept for soccer

Josh Stewart

the no spin kick is like the jump float serve in haikyu. with no spin it can go in an unexpected direction

Cody

The no spin thing is the same concept as a knuckleball in baseball. No spin means the air resistance makes the ball move weird.

Tug

Balls with no spin have no path they just kinda go we’re they want like float serve from Haikyuu

speedy

when ichigo hit that no spin kick to the ball, its movement is unpredictable, They call this a knuckle ball in actual soccer. That's why they showed the center point of the ball where'd he hit. w reaction btw

itzramone

kuon getting worried lol chigiri and ichigo have 2 goals if they both score one more and the team still lose kuon could also go home because after this match im sure the rankings is gonna be rearrange (only the top scorer goes through, if tied top ranking player goes through) he got that i eat ass face rn lmao ill be mad if kuon the one that scores the winning goal lol

DatKid_Kaneki

explaining ichigos hit, if u hit a soccerball in its center point it’ll go straight down because theres no spin to it

Smash Bran'Discootch

The ball had no spin so it dropped out of the air sooner than the guy thought it would causing him to miss when he tried to punch it. It's the same concept as a float serve in volleyball. Yall don't remember Haikyuu?

Devin B

Just to add on to this, the reason it moves in different directions is because as the ball goes against the air the different air currents are pushing the ball in different directions which causes it to move a little bit of everywhere.

Solivigant Kaiba

Kunigami hit a knuckleball, spin is what gives a ball stability as it moves, without spin, the ball moves erratically and curves making it hard for the goalie or other players to intercept it. Cristiano Ronaldo has done them for a long time, one of my faves is from when he kicked the ball and swerved the defense and made the goal.

XWF Outlaw

11:15 "SCOTT STERLING!!!"

Square Block

damm doing Japan dirty like that lmao, but one thing I noticed from the japan game is that ego is actually right about there strikers, for example the one japan player who had a shot just him and keeper but he decided to PASS instead, like damm I think Japan really needs a real blue lock.

Kingmakaii

Bro really raw bro mixed the entire team that’s embarrassing 😭

Dre

Thanks to all the soccer fans who explained ichigo's getsuga tensho shot cause i was confused

Chris Tercero

Kunigami and chigari both have 2 goals currently. 1 short of the snake ass teamate . He big worried now 😂

Djibril

haha yeah i’ve noticed a few reactors confused but knuckleballs are indeed a real thing

Tyaun Roberts

ichigo's kick is a "knuckleball" which has no spin and wonky with trajectory

Ticci Seb

Normally, when you kick/throw/hit a ball you want to have some spin on it to stabilize the flight path with no spin stabilization. The ball will be less accurate and have a volatile flight path at longer ranges

Chocobo

the no spin kick is like the jump float serve in haikyu. with no spin it can go in an unexpected direction The no spin thing is the same concept as a knuckleball in baseball. No spin means the air resistance makes the ball move weird.

PotatoLover

No-spin balls are actually not exaggerated, they're called knuckleballs and you can check a compilation on youtube and see that they're ridiculous

Sally

Sheera: “Oh you forgot we’re main characters too? Y’all show them why we look like main characters too!” Facts 😂😂😂

gamerman1902

And during the penalty shootout itself their players looked more scared to miss rather than determined to get it past the keeper. Then they played it way too safe and made it too easy for the keeper. You gotta have confidence in moments like that and that comes with a bit of an ego so maybe the series is on to something like you said 😂

Sergio

btw the “no spin” part isn’t an anime thing. it’s actually a technique in soccer, we call it a “knuckle ball” it’s basically when you kick the ball and it has no spin. that’s every goalie’s nightmare both in the youth and professional league lmao.

Jay rellim

lmao their "anime logic" reaction had me dead lol it's literally physics

Infinity

idk why they even have people playing goal not a single ball has been stopped this entire anime lmao. Also not sure if you guys know how spin works on balls whether its baseball volleyball or soccer but maybe yall need google lmao.

Vayne

I get what you're saying but the anime was saved by Lemons one save so. granted it was i think the ONLY save of the entire show so far LOL

Panda

Baseball also has a pitch that uses the same logic and its also called a knuckle ball. You try to reduce the amount of spin on the pitch. It's not just gravity but air resistance, when a ball is spinning the air is also being moved around it, thats why a ball with a lot of downward spin or backspin(second guessed myself here for a second lmfao) can curve up, because its pulling air under. A knuckle ball is coming into direct contact with the air, and because of the reduced spin the air is flowing all around the ball, causing it to move more unpredictable.

HarmonicsAsmr

Btw the shot kunigami/ichigo did actually exist its called a knucle ball they call them dead ball they have no spin and they are really unpredictable they always curve last minute they are the worst for golies you dont see them often because its not a shot that is always certain

SnailSpray

kunigamis shot was like a floater from haikyuu for anyone who still doesnt get it. its a fast moving ball with no spin so it moves unpredictably

Sergio

yea i meant to say air, but my head was just spinning (no pun intended).

Solivigant Kaiba

Oh and the scorpion kick Gagamari did is a reverse bicycle kick, Colombian goalkeeper René Higuita is the one associated with the invention of the skill during a save in the 1995 international friendly match between Colombia and England.

Ash

man end discussion too funny. Hope y'all do a blue lock skit or something in the future

WindyCannabis

spin on the ball actually helps its path be more predictable or controlled. When a striker hits the ball with little to no spin the pressure of it going through the air causes it to knuckle unpredictably. Its kind of the same thing in all sports with a ball with no spin instead of displacing and piercing through the air it's more akin to an object punching through layer after layer of air causing the unpredictable pathing. Same concept used in rifle bore on a modern sniper vs. the smooth bore of shotguns.

KS Neelesh

Yeah the goal kunigami scored is actually a real technique called "knuckleball" in soccer/football. You basically hit it at a point where theres no topsin on it so when it almost hits the goal the ball drops making it confusing for the goalie. You can literally look it up on youtube of actual players doing that in matches🤣 it's always funny to see people who dont watch the sport ask if it's real cuz it's an anime haha

WindyCannabis

I'd disagree as someone who religiously watches football. Japan's team this year had some phenomenal strikers something they've never had before. These players made a world of difference especially when you take into account how much better their entire team was than the perennial powerhouses like Germany or Spain who they hands down outplayed. Very unfortunate that they clearly hadn't practiced penalties but it is an all too common mistake and one that has cost the English team their fair share of World Cups. All in all Japans team was top notch but they honestly need someone more like a Bachira whom can create plays with there dribbling rather than just being able to strike the ball well and take advantage of other teams mistakes.

WeavyBoo

Yup same thing with volleyball. Happens in Haikyuu, but it also happens irl, and it's a pain if you're caught off guard by it

Hasnain Khan

Yehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Victor

Chigiri and Kunigami had 2 goals, Kuon had 3 goals. But he is at the top of team Z ranking so they can only beat him by scoring 2 more goals, or else Kuon will advance if team Z loses.

by chances

just wanted to tell you actual spinless soccer ball moves wierdly like that, not as much as that scene, but still

Earphone Jack

This is why Bachira is my favorite character!!!

ken_tka

look at this guy Infinity coming in with the attitude for no reason

CRuEL_WOrlD

Greatest anime of all time, leagues above all the new and old gen 😤

Fedei

Idk if someone already mentioned it but what Nagi said to Isagi was a very genuine question on his part, the guy is talented so to see someone not on his level but still trying to win kinda confuses him

Devin B

Not only that but Nagi was able to see that Isagi was hesitating about what to do which is why he called him inefficient. Isagi is the type to think first and act second but there are times he thinks too much about what to do next that he hesitates a little bit when he plays.

Mob Tricky

Think of their second goal as a knuckleball in baseball, it moves where it wants and wobbles around.

artisticSarcasm

Kunigami has 3 now I think, Chigiri has 2 so he's closing in as well.

Devin B

Nah this was Kunigami's second one. Kuon is still on top with 3.

Solivigant Kaiba

Yall should check out Erik Lamela's rabona goal during premiere league. Its pretty cool to see.

HIM

If you like Bachira and wonder if anyone really plays like they do in this show, PLEASE do yourself a favor and watch a highlight clip of a man called Ronaldinho 🙏 Hell, Messi and CR7 are pretty jaw dropping too, but Ronaldinho has the moves to make your jaw look like Ed,Edd 'n Eddy on a good day 👍makes the show even better imo

Leanne Stephenson

So Kunigami's goal pretty much had was the same effect as a jump floater? Since there was no spin.

HIM

More like a knuckleball in baseball. The air catches it and moves it around unpredictably. It typically moves last second or shakes a bit then drops out of nowhere. It's dirty physics, because with the right wind conditions, the ball can literally do anything from flying up last second to wobbling back and forth and darting left or right. There was little to no wind here, so it just dropped to the side due to the angle of the kick, I'd assume.

Stazzi

Personally I think Bachira is closer to Messi and Neymar

Stazzi

Anyone notice the goal at the beginning is literally Richarlison’s at the World Cup ahah.

HIM

I know it's a hot topic from what little I know, but Messi seems more straightforward with his dribbling, while I find the fact Bachira says "I just tried some stuff and it worked" and his creativity feels a lot like Ronaldinho. His attitude is more fun and chill like him too. Either way, I will look into Neymar! I'm loving my introduction to the sport 👍

Severus Alaerth

Bachira summoned the Ronaldinho in him this ep!

Alexander Szabo

Kunigami actually did an actual real life shot. It’s called a knuckleball and it’s pretty much a jump floater from volleyball, but with much more velocity.

nvrcist

yeah them calling a knuckleball, anime shit was hilarious

jogurtowski

literally, air elastico is from Ronaldinho's joga bonito compilation, he did in it some futsal game

JG

Haha i was gonna write the exact same thing xD. Knowing they watched haikyuu the jump floater is probally the best reference

JG

21:02 yeah almost. the orange haired and the pink haired ones are both at 2 goals now so either of them scores and itd be tied with the asshole that betrayed em thats why hes getting scared

Leanne Stephenson

Ah thanks, I don't follow baseball or watched Ace of Diamonds so my knowledge is nil 😂

Aziouss

Spin has a stabilizing effect. No spin makes the ball erratic. The name "Rifle" comes from the rifling that makes the bullets spin and have a stable flight!

Melafurina

I can see where this is going, Isagi is gonna do something nuts next episode and make Nagi excited for the first time and then he’ll be a rival going forward like Bachira and chigiri Literally just Kenma from haikyuu

YoungMaki

I’ve seen it move crazier when they are good knuckle ball shots

Jacob Elliott

Yeah, was also gonna let them know that that's what a knuckle ball in baseball is, a NO spin pitch that is hard to tell if it will be a strike or ball and is like the no spin volleyball serve hard to tell if the ball will go out or stay in (also hard to bump that).

Jonathan

For some reason, Bachira gives me Karma vibes from Assassination Classroom, when he turns up.

Ougi

youll think ur correct on that next episode but realise how wrong u were in th eps after that

delete

if nagi is ranked 221. . .what kind of monsters are under 100.

CAMZ_AMV

The shot kunigami did is called a knuckleball in football/soccer which is kicked with low spin which moves the ball in a random zigzag trajectory which is a very common type of shot especially for free kicks. So it isn’t actually anime logic unfortunately 😂

Charlie Hall

You guys have to watch kuroko no basket 😂 I can just imagine y’all going crazy seeing what the generation of miracles can do

SupremeCai

'There was no spin' Sheera: It spun
