Like Sheera said team Y implemented the defensive strategy to early. They should've applied that strategy when they had at least a 2 or 3 goal lead so that team Z would have to work even harder to cut the deficit.

This is exactly right. Some players like catching the ball in a juggle off their chest or knees or even a header like old boy who can jump real high, but asking for it at feet means he wants the pass to come right to his foot so he can take off or shoot it with a one touch like he did there at the end.

I do find it funny that everyone seems to be convinced this is a main theme of the story solely because it was brought up early by one of the main characters, but there's no reason for a comment like this, people will notice that it's not relevant with time

Manga knowledge aside, the anime has given every indication that these 'monsters' are an actual thing. Particularly when a character's eyes turn squiggly. It makes perfect sense to believe they're an important theme in this story.

this show is completely different to all the other sports anime focusing on ego hence the confusion but its only fking episode 4 . You cant fucking expect them to understand everything that happens give them time and they watch so many other shows . People like you have 0 patience always remember u only get genuine reactions when they find out shit by themself its more enjoyable . Let them figure it out there has never been a show where they never understand or got mislead entirely they always get back on track I've been in this patreon for almost 3 years they always figure shit out so relax .

Bro its only episode 4 there is 20 more to go , so in all the shows they have watched you're trying to say they would have never figured it out if u never have provided this info? come on bro they do this for a living they have close mods who update them time to time and their editor who watches the shows aswell. There is no way they will be mislead for the entire series . As i mentioned they watched hundreds of shows from complicated time travel to romance . Atleast one of 3 will pick it up thats how its always been bro this isnt their first rodeo . This storyline is completely diff to the other sports anime they have watched they always figured it out it really takes time its really hard to pick up on every small detail esp when you watch 10 shows a week
