Aki is such a good guy. Don't know if anyones paying attention to how much he cares. When Denji said if there was a devil he could befriend he would, and Aki's "I'll remember that" line wasn't malicious. He was being genuine, and set him up with Power, a devil he could befriend. Also got Powers cat checked out. Let's Denji enjoy childish whims like his messy as all fuck "Super toast" specifically because he remembered Denji never went to school, and could infer he didn't have much of a childhood from that and everything else. Aki listens. He actually remembers and cares about everything that people tell him. He's on his revenge shit for sure, but he's also just such a kind and considerate guy overall

the lead animator for the Kaguya s3 dance animated numerous cuts in the chainsaw man OP, from his sakugabooru info he seems to pretty much exclusively do 2d digital and is clearly a force in animation. But just want to mention as well CG in various forms is all over modern animation and thats not a bad thing. Not all CG is the shortcut stuff that looks like poor animation. Tons of assisted animation tools and CG tools can and are regularly used to make great animation so lets all try to stop with the CG=bad stigma unless its about the corner cutting CG models.

The last time Roshi asked for Phil Collins' music was JJK Episode 19 which was directed by the CSM director and the running scenes in that and this episode were both animated by the same person, Keiichiro Watanabe (also known for his walk cycles and "flowy" animation in Mob Psycho). This specific episode was directed by the former Black Clover director who is also the action director for CSM. Also, while you were correct about the subtle behaviour comparisons to a dog, it wasn't Denji supposed to be on all fours when running during the fight. It was more akin to the running scene in Devilman Crybaby.

Im not sure if you guys read all the comments, but it was mentioned in a interview a while back with the Director of Mappa (I believe, or someone else higher up) that they wanted to make Chainsaw Man sort of a symbol of what they're able to produce and do at Mappa, so you will for sure see a ton of budget and effort put into this show. A lot of mannerisms must be added in. Deadass picked up Volume 2 to check all we get is Denji sniffing an apple on a tiny corner panel. Denji isnt seen fighting close to on all 4s, Aki's report and morning routine is ALL anime only,Denji is seen standing when power comes in instead of being a dog and when in the restroom he's standing never sitting down looking up to power. Fujimoto for sure came in studio to provide his 2cents on how to elevate his story

So there's no official explanation but 2 prevailing theories. 1. The Bat Devil is designed after real vampire bats, which have saliva that contains an anticoagulant. Most devils have exaggerated powers based on the fear they originate from. For example, vampire bats actually do have "short, conical muzzles", which this devil created a sonic boom from. If we assume that the devil's anticoagulant is exaggerated, it may have paralytic effects on the literal Blood Devil made of blood. This would also make sense considering Meowy was fine and moving about in the cage after being swallowed for the same amount of time. 2. Power may have broken her back and been knocked out after being inside the Bat Devil while he was being thrown 400ft from the air, cars thrown/exploded, punched and chopped by chainsaws. She seemingly just woke up right before Denji pulled her out, and never got to drink any blood to heal since she couldn't move. Dunno how Meowy is cool, but cats are notorious for not getting hurt lmao.

We know that the Devil's power-level is based on how much they are "feared." So, do y'all think a Fox Devil is supposed to be THAT much stronger than a Leech Devil? Yeah, it is actually nice that it is not definitive scale of power since that would mean that we would have a good idea about who would win before the fight even starts, lol. I was kinda worried about that, if the power-ranking was based on what people tend to fear in the real world, but glad that is not the case.
