I remember she said in an interview she was frustrated that she was only getting cast because directors wanted her "soft cute voice" and didn't care about the rest of her vocal range. She went "oh thank god" when she saw Nadeko's flipout in the script. Although now she's kind of typecast as "the actress who can flip between cute and delinquent roles" and they still don't give a damn about the rest of her range.

You guys should react to the High & Low series/ franchise. It’s pretty famous in Japan. It may or may not be your cup of tea on certain parts but it’s worth a look at. 🔥 fight scenes and camera work. Interesting characters and world building.

It's not as good as 2 heroes, but if they haven't seen it, it wouldmake a great reaction leading into the season. The fights go hard, and it's a cool side plot that isn't dumb fillery.

Except she isn't just cute, not that it would even be such a terrible thing anyway. In those anime that's the most likable character in the cast usually. It doesn't come close to justifying other characters berating her over it, and ends up making them really unlikable.

Ture, she's not just cute. she's more like the dandere archetype. The shy, quiet, timid, closed off character trope which everyone finds to be "cute", and yeah its not really a terrible thing honestly. But in the end in this series, or at least in nisio isin's eyes, staying as she is currently is bad for her, as we all see later in hitagi end. And I feel like its justifiable for the other characters to absolutely destroy her to help her change as a person. It is a fact that a personality that you dont mind (us the viewers), could be annoying to someone else (in this case shinobu and tsukihi). If no one was extremely aggressive against her like that, then she can just do the "look down and keep silent until the other person go away". Not to mention its shinobu and tsukihi here lmao. They're the last person you'll expect to care about being gentle against someone else

😂lol yeah,Sheera does it most of the time, Lupa sometimes but barely does it, and roshi rarely does it, if they do miss something though, someone will tell them in the comments, and roshi often scroll through the comments and see that they missed something, I would rather have them talking instead of them other reactors who sit dead silent for 24 minutes 😂

I sort of agree, but I take issue with the idea that it's in any way justifiable to "absolutely destroy" someone just because you find their personality annoying. It's not anyone else's place or right to force her to change something so inconsequential and human. They're oddities so they don't care, but they're obviously in the wrong here. It makes them less likable, not that Tsukihi was particularly likable in the first place but still. Also, assuming your right about the author's intent, what the fuck happened to nisioisin to make him so bothered by this character type? I feel like most of the other archetypes of characters are far worse in many aspects. Wouldn't this kind of thing be better directed at the tsundere?

Tsukihi JUST called her out on the fact that she's been knowingly trying to seduce a guy who has a girlfriend for a while now, then she immediately turns around and asks the snake god to "grant her wish". She just frames it in a cute way and turns a blind eye to how scummy she's acting. We saw she does basically the same thing with the teacher. Shinobu and Tsukihi can both immediately pick up what kind of person she is because they're both similarly manipulative (both call her the "second cutest" after themselves). The difference is that neither of them delude themselves into believing their own bullshit like Nadeko does. She sincerely believes she's as innocent as she acts, even though we know damn well she's not. I don't think either of them were trying to "destroy" her, just give her a sincere warning that she needs to acknowledge who she is. (and the first scene of this arc already shows where her current trajectory is taking her)

Tsukihi also calls her out for not actually putting effort into seducing him or trying to fight for him. She also points out Nadeko is just admiring him and uses that admiration as an excuse to avoid conflict. Really that's the essence of what they probably have actual issue with. If you think avoiding conflict is scummy so be it, but I think that's absurd. If anything the ending of this, the first scene of this arc, is the opposite of what she was. At every step Shinobu goads her on, even when Araragi is trying to talk her down. This is the result, a dangerous Nadeko that is the source of conflict.

When is dialogue not important in Monogatari. At the very least, even when its not plot related, the dialogue is why we watch this show. But surprisingly these guys are no. 1 (I'm pretty sure) in reaction channels because they're pretty good at understanding what goes on in the show. Sheera and Roshi both are pretty good at predicting the show and following the plot, even when compared to those "reactors" that keep silent throughout.
