Shinobu's "Kyuketsuki Punch!" is one of my favorite moments in the show. It comes out of nowhere, the delivery is perfect, and Araragi had it coming.

You guys should react to the High & Low series/ franchise. It’s pretty famous in Japan. It may or may not be your cup of tea on certain parts but it’s worth a look at. 🔥 fight scenes and camera work. Interesting characters and world building.

"take this personality trait and morph it into something bad" That is def the charm of this show. The author really knows how to take generic mundane personality traits and absolutely demolish it. But man nothing hits harder than the character exploration in monogatari, def the best in that aspect

I think y'all forgot how Nadeko got cursed like everyone else in her class, BUT she was the only one to actually get hurt because of getting cursed... because she turned a "harmless" curse to a REAL curse when she went to the library to find a "cure" or some shit and started casually, but diligently, sacrificing like 100+ snakes at the SNAKE SHRINE where they are supposed to worship a Snake God.... I am pretty sure the girl is fricken insane, and I am pretty sure this was my least favorite arc of the series too, LOL. Nadeko loves Araragi, she does not want him to worry... so lies to him about the white snake, then causes him problems by making him run around in the middle of the night to find Nadeko... So she did cause him problems, and made him worry about her.... Then decides to continue hiding the truth so she can continue leaving home at night. Every night, since she has made a deal with the Snake to help it every night to find its body?? Her thought-process and actions make no sense, and even the Snake is confused, LOL.
