Hey Chris, we will do Steins Gate 0 but its not going to be immediately. One thing to take into consideration is that we have to prioritize shows that will also go on YouTube otherwise theres no content for that platform. Magi we will continue straight through because that’s on YouTube. Steins Gate is exclusive to Patreon. Another example of this is Monogatari, Sheera and I break in between each season to mix in other shows. This upcoming season is going to be intense so we have to plan properly to not burn ourselves out, so Steins Gate 0 we will have to circle back around to. Hope this helps!

I loved (and hated) reading this manga, it is SUCH a ride. XD But, one thing I hate about the anime is the inclusion of smart phones, as the time period for the manga was the 80s. And I agree, the pacing is a bit fast... but I wonder if that's due to the limit of episodes given or if the manga felt slower paced due to how the you read it?

One of my only regrets about Banana Fish is the pacing. Sadly, there wasn't enough content in the manga for 3 cours, but it was close (especially if they'd animated the side stories). As for the modernization, I think that was inevitable. Parasyte did the same thing.

I guess for me, it just makes some of the scenes have less weight with tension, as the characters can easily pull out a cellphone and chat instead of having to find a payphone or something to converse long distance, especially during the "lay low" segments. Also, the fact that the Don still has an old style phone yet everyone else has a smart phone throws me off. XD

I’ve only watched a few episodes, but so far, my problem is that it doesn’t seem to distinguish between those issues. ‘Gay’ seems to imply r*pe, p*, child abuse, s* a* etc. In the first episode, “he’s gay” is definitely used as an insult, instead of the correct epithet, which is “he’s a p* and child r*t”. I don’t know if this gets remedied later on with healthy gay relationships, but somehow I suspect not, as you rarely see canon gay romance among protagonists.
