At 12:43 that was a Ashita no Joe reference, not a Hajime no Ippo reference. That being said you should definitely watch Hajime no Ippo at one point. Best Sports anime ever made. Oh and for the record, Megalo Box which you've seen is just a watered down inferior version of Ashita no Joe.

I'm Japanese, so I'm sorry if my English is strange. Tsukihi's boyfriend's name is "rousokuzawa" which means "bee" in Japanese. Karen's boyfriend's name "mizudori" means phoenix in Japanese. Two boyfriends mean Tsukihi and Karen. Two more boyfriends are similar to Koyomi Araragi. In other words, Karen and Tsukihi don't have a boyfriend, and they like Araragi Koyomi.

I personally would watch Koyomimonogatari between the Shinobu Mail Arc and Mayoi Hell Arc of Owarimonogatari as that's the airing order and the transition from the end of Koyomimonogatari to Mayoi Hell makes more sense.
