Infinity

damn no mercy percy is savage. too bad I feel this arc ends with him losing w.e power he probably got.

losinmymindd_

Ok lupa are you wearing a Mickey Mouse shirt and it’s really faded or is it under the first shirt

Coatl45

Gotta give Delilah props for this one. With the low, low price of a single sacrifice, she was able to raise and control every corpse in the city. That’s impressive.

Next episode is a cool one too

Smash Bran'Discootch

"Yours was the face I saw when murder entered my heart." I love that line so much, it is DIRECTLY taken from Critical Role. No Mercy Percy had some of the BEST one liners and mic drop moments. For the little dance that Scanlan was doing was, Sam Riegel filmed his wife doing that dance and they sent it to the animators to animate lol. Getting to see this stuff with Pike was so awesome for us old school Critters. And i really like the way they approached that. The whole, "I thought i couldn't drink or curse or fuck shit up and still be a follower of The Everlight." and Sarenrae just out there like, "Nah, child. Fuck shit up as much as you want as long as you're doing some good in the world. Be true to yourself." A lot of Matt's stories carry a theme of "Who are you?" or "Where do you find your strength?" Vex and Vax both have a LOT of that coming that I won't speak on because I won't spoil for the possible events of season 2. Same with Grog...and scanlan...But Keyleth you've already seen is trying to figure out who she is and to understand her strength and embrace it. Percy is DEFINITELY clearly dealing with a "Who are you and where do you find your strength" moment. So in the actual Campaign Stream, Anders actually DIDN'T slit Cass's throat, he just used a spell called Minor Illusion to make it SEEM like he slit her throat. The fact that they went balls to the wall with it and really slit her throat was a huge shock but I loved it. Also, not gonna lie, the way they did Anders in on this show was actually pretty tame compared to how badly they fucked him up on critical role. Generally whenever a boss has been defeated that has to do with someone's backstory, that boss gets totally messed up. Brutally. "Vox Machina! FUCK! SHIT! UP!" If ya know, ya know. Also, I'm pretty sure half of the entire budget for the show went into the last four episodes, so yall are in for a TREAT! Anders is actually a Bard, like Scanlan. He just uses his powers to a different effect and utilizes them in a different way.

The GoDKing 27

She said you didn’t come back to check. Really? Hell no I’m coming back to check when I’m running my life

Polygon

This episode is one of the ones that I think suffered the most from being an adaptation of DnD. A lot of reactors have been frustrated that Vox Machina just let Anders stand around, but DnD's combat system is turn based, so players and creatures dont normally get to do anything during another creature's turn outside of a few circumstances which I think is part of the reason why everyone just ignored Anders and let him walk away and stand around for so long instead of attacking him directly. That, and also for dramatic purposes lol.

Antonio Bacon

Anders weaving like a true elden lord

Smash Bran'Discootch

Well also between Anders' natural dexterity(especially for a fat dude), you then had the animated armors that were blocking attacks for him and also being pretty much all they could handle at a time until they figured out how to kill them, then they had Grog under Dominate Person who was also blocking everything that came Anders' way and fighting them all at the same time(Barbarians take half damage to a lot of different damage types while raging), then finally they were all Dominated. It wasnt ever as simple as just "kill the guy". They were trying lol

StorySmith []

That spell keyleth used to put that symbol in the sky? That’s a spell called sky write and it’s one of my favorite. I can’t got a single campaign with out drawing a giant dick in the clouds above a big boss monster at least once

Randle Dandle

this isn't a spoiler because it was on screen but easily missed because it's only a frame, at the moment Percy kills Anders you can see a flaming eye watching it happen.

Polygon

It's been years since I watched the Briarwood arc in its entirety and I don't remember a lot about Anders' fight, just that they gouged his eyes out lol. But even still, I remember that the others were still attacking him during the combat, he wasn't just standing smugly off to the side. I just think they could have represented the combat better in this episode in particular. But like I said, they need drama in the show. Also tbh I'm not really as fond of this arc as most other CR fans are. Edgy Percy/Taliesin just didn't do it for me lol. I much preferred the next two arcs. Also, Barbarians only take half damage to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage unless they're Bear totem barbarians which Grog isn't, he's a Frenzy barbarian so Keyleth should have been able to deal elemental damage to him (I don't recall if she actually turned into Minxy in the game to fight Grog but I'll let Marisha off the hook because she was a newer player at the time). Dominate Person allows for a Wis save every time the target takes damage anyway. I guess Travis/Grog just kept failing his saves? As I said, I don't recall much of Anders' fight.

Isaac

Loved the Pike development of her subconciously feeling she doesn't deserve this Holy power because she's off fucking around with her friends doing stupid shit that's sinful to the eyes of a typical God. And lucky for her, that God doesn't care what you do, so long as you do it with your head held high with no shame, you a'ight. Probably the only catch that the Everlight would sever the connection is if you're an evil fuck.

KyleForged

I dont know if the crew will see this but for Sheera What happened with Vax is they put him under mind control so that he wouldnt fight back as he planned to drain him of his blood but when he took damage when Sylas bit him he was able to break free and fight back so the mind control ended in the same scene.

Asellian

I think the reason he's not shooting him is cuz this is the first time seeing Cass in years. Also add to the fact that he thought she was DEAD. In this case I wont question Percy for not shooting because cass took precedence over his revenge. It's easy to call out what should've and shouldn't have been done from a third person point of view with hindsight, but in the heat of moment and everything is happening so fast, it's hard to make rational decisions.

Brandon Blue

Fuck yeah loving the reactions! Here's a anime Roshi, Lupasan and Sheera would find funny it's broken down into smaller episodes in the episodes but the Way of the Househusband is hilarious. Should give it a try.

Smash Bran'Discootch

I support this use of sky write 100%. Then again, I'm the Hexblade Warlock that always summons my weapon as a giant dick. Greatsword, polearm, halberd, always shaped like a dick. To add insult to injury.

REDRIOT

it is a pretty entertaining anime, very underrated for some reason.

CJButter 41122

I'm happy at least Lupa appreciated Scanlans little song!

Ted Cali

"YOU'RE THE FACE THAT I SAW WHEN MURDER ENTERED MY HEART." Just. Fucking. Imagine. You're playing like Monopoly or something with your old friend, and he busts that raw-ass fucking line in the middle of the living room. Christ, Taliesen is so good. We may or may not eventually get a Mighty Nein animated series (I hope to god we do, that is one of my favorite stories in all of fiction), but here are the choice, non-spoiler Taliesen lines from that campaign, since some of his best VM lines are still to come: "I wish for you, in the future, to find someone who will mourn you when you are gone. Respectfully." "We're running. It's bad." "Help! It's... again." "All a god is is a cult with a franchise." "I am your god! Long may I reign, eat of my fruits."

BZD

The problem with him not shooting last episode, is that since this is based on D&D, he could have rolled a 1 and shot his sister. That’s always a risk.

BZD

Alphonse learned the shadow clone jutsu and was really angry this episode.

Didier

You guys know Netflix is said to be adaptating Jeff Smith's Bone & Scott Pilgrim into animation, right? The day those two ever come out, you better react to it because it's probably gonna be the epitome of Western animation.

delete

scott pilgrim is pure cringe. Bone is great tho

Immoral Mortal

"i can fix that" lol was that a holes reference

RonyOnPat

dress up darling isn't cringe, it just appeals to an audience that you aren't a part of. thats all.

Wasn’t it vax that entered the room in the specs material and he did in fact throw his daggers at the guy which was the real cause of cass getting her through cut?

Quinton Campbell

dammit i was about to make a jean grey reference but Roshi already said it lol

Reckless Company

AYooo i thought his sister died again bruh they wrong for that lol

Smash Bran'Discootch

Wait, what? Where are you getting the idea that marisha was a new player? Shes married to Matt and they were dating for years before the stream started. Not to mention the fact that they played together for two years before they started streaming. The ones with the least experience were Travis, Laura, and Sam. And they all have about the same amount of experience with 5th edition because they were playing Pathfinder before the stream but then converted to 5e.

BZD

Don’t know. Haven’t watched the source material.

Silent Doe

Keylith does nature magic which is why her magic is green, Pike does good aligned divine, which is why her magic is yellow, scanlan's is arcane, which is why his magic is purple, Delilah's is evil aligned divine so hers is black/purple. All this to say, Keylith is not channeling the Everlight

Mordecaix Rigby

I'm surprised no one that the lady that speaks to the girl in the beginning of the episode is the actor of Symmetra from overwatch

Polygon

My bad, I should have said "newer to 5e". Correct me if I'm wrong, but Marisha has said the first and only other game she played in was a short game/oneshot where she played a Drow. Then they had their home game which started as 4e then shifted to pathfinder. But IIRC, they were playing like once every month or two when they had time. Then the switch to 5e happened. In the grand scheme of things that's not a whole lot of play time, especially while jumping around in editions and I think it's a big reason why she made so many mistakes while playing early-mid C1

slipHAZARD

Sheera's face stuck in "Just wiffed a fart" mode the entire reaction 😂🤣😂

Julian R

It's crazy since I haven't seen that movie in ages, yet I immediately thought of it when he said that.
