This ova is one hundred percent Canon I won't spoil what happens after. But I want you to know this was in the light novel so this proves that it's Canon and will this tie in into the future? You'll have to wait and see, so I can't wait for you to watch the next season when it comes out.

For the record, Cliff is impressive even compared to veteran adventurer. 1/40000 people are advance rank in one magic branch, this guy reach advance rank in four branches. Cliff can be call genius of a decade, his self proclaim genius is justify. He just lacks experience and his shitty mouth & attitude didn't help neither. He'd be top 10 mages of adventurer world if you give him like 5y of experience as an adventurer. However, you cant take Rudeus for comparison. Rudeus is truly anomaly; Saint in water branch, advance in wind fire and earth, probably no one can match him. Eris's been with Rudy for long time got her reality wrap that good mage should be as close as Rudeus so much so that Cliff pale in comparison.

I think Cliff might be like a villain? I mean, he was on the side of the people that were trying to kill the kid thats gonna be the next pope, right? The ones Eris just killed. Those were his people. Cause i mean like they said that the current pope supports coexisting with demons but like good people dont order children to be executed. And who says that the kid who is gonna be the next pope is gonna be against coexisting with demons? I think that the current pope just SAYS he is for coexisting with demons but in reality wants to get rid of them and is just doing shit behind the scenes to stir up shit between humans and demons. And i'm thinking our characters are gonna continue to side with the kid and that that is gonna put them on the opposite side as Cliff. I mean, he'll most likely end up doing the whole villain becomes a homie character arc because the power of boners is strong, but i guess we'll see. I could have the completely wrong assumption though and be flat out wrong about everything lol

so to clear things up and explain some stuff the anime doesn't mention, but was happened in the LN at this point. The Pope's faction is what Cliff belongs to and he is the adopted son to the pope, so next heir. The assassins were Cliff's tutors who went to assassinate the blessed child, important figurehead of the opposing faction of the pope. The pope wants to coexist with demons, but the other faction is more like religious finatics who don't budge in their beliefs. They think of demons as well demons and should be eradicated from the world, which is why we see temple knights being racist to demons. So Milishon is kinda split in two right now with a civil war brewing in the shadows. bad spelling ik my bad

Eris. Don't interrupt fights you have no business with, and even if you do, don't kill them. She had no idea what they were fighting about. From what I gathered, the little girl's faction wants to discriminate against Demons, and people who share that ideology have been making things hard on Demons in the city. The assassins were people who work for the Pope, who wanted to coexist equally with Demons. Now, the Pope is probably a bit shady, sending Assassins after a Little girl and all, but Eris really should have not killed all of them. Could have knocked out the last one at least. I understand maybe killing the first bunch of them since she was outnumbered, but for the last one she could have went for disarming and knocking him out to question him.

I don't know anything about it because it hasn't been translated yet to the light novels but I heard that there is a Millision Arc where she is a relevant character. I would imagine they are doing what they did here with Cliff and holding of on introducing her so that people won't forget about her.

Yeah from what I can tell from this episode the pope is actually in favor of coexisting with demons but I'm not completely sure of the stance the little girl is in so it really is just a difference of ideologies.

so some side notes about this episode from the light novels that may be nice to know. That Temple knight believe it or not was Rudy's aunt. Her name is Therese and she is Zenith's sister. Zenith was royalty from the kingdom of Millis before she became an adventurer and married Paul. In the LN Rudy actually got to meet her.

I like how Cliff is what Rudy could have become in a way. Also you proably just forgot in the moment but at the end you said no one else can do the voiceless incantation but he had taught Silphy how as well. .

Also Rudy has faaaaaar larger mana pool, obviously (due to spamming magic to train w/e "magic muscles" are responsible for mana, since infancy (good luck doing that Cliff without being self-aware during toddler years etc, that's many years you can't train unlike Rudy, so if he keeps training 24/7 he will always be many years ahead of Cliff by default). No to mention his instant silent casting makes him wayyy too fucking OP as a mage in real combat scenarios, since he can just spam spells instantly without chants so enemies don't know wtf his spells will do at all, nor when he boutta cast em

Anyone can do as he wishes in that situation just lucky day for the girl and unlucky girl for the assasins why would I give a damn about the politics of this country you offer help when you feel like it's right also she is extremely strong but she doesn't really know how strong these guys are there is no way I would try to just knock them out when I know they are skilled assasins that attack me with poisened daggers and the intent to kill lol.

well there were rumors it started production in may of 2021. if thats the case its POSSIBLE that cour 1 of season 2 might start as early as october. they would certainly have enough time for that. jan 2023 is probably a more realistic date as that gives them much more breathing room for production. i dont think it will be as far as mid 2023, but who knows.

well since its kinda spoiled anyways, while not really being a spoiler i guess since they changed the story. what was suppose to happen was that ruijerd was going to meet up with a guy he rescued like 30 years (ruijerd doesnt follow eris around because he knows shes good) ago who it is inferred is like a big time lord or merchant or something. he writes a letter for ruijerd that is basically a pass for him, a superd, to be able to cross over the ocean to the main continent. i believe rudy and eris go to the marina to book passage on a ship with the pass, but the guy who runs the port is a racist dick and denies them, even though they have the pass. in comes rudys aunt, the captain of the guard, to pull rank. she then fawns all over rudy in an adorable moment because she knows hes her cute little nephew. What happened instead was paul just gave it to them. basically they just combine scenes and cut stuff thats not particularly important for time. they've been doing an amazing job so far. there was also another scene where rudy, paul, norn and eris sit down to dinner at a fancy resturant, but nothing happens but what you expect. eris is all hostile. norn is standoffish and its just awekward and rather pointless really .

i think it was cliff imagining an imposing rudy from all the hype eris was giving him. rudy will probably be that tall by the end of season 2 though. he'll be around 15 or 16 at that point. they even changed voice actors for him i believe.

A cool detail is that when they first arrived in Millis, Geese said he'd meet up with them later and enter the city another way (he was avoiding the racist guards). Also cool that while the little girl is part of the racist faction, it's still portrayed as a bad situation when she's about to be killed (like yeah the current pope's ideals are better but killing a kid to advance your plans is kinda dark, that's roshi justice right there). Btw dunno if anyone pointed it out but that little girl was called a blessed child, like the prince with super strength, so she's gonna be a problem.

I never noticed it, but if I remember correctly when rudeus met Paul, Paul asked why rudeus didn’t see the message on the guild board. The thing was that when Eris punched cliff into the guild’s wall, one of the papers fell to the floor. That paper might’ve been the message that Paul left for Rudeus, and so it wasn’t Rudeus’ fault for not knowing

I mean saving children is kinda part of their moral code as dead end. Rujierd or Rudeus would have done the same thing, especially rujierd. Rudeus while not liking conflict would still have fought them just to save them and honor rujierd's code.

paul left it in the guild where rudy and ruijerd saved the beast girls and then rudy was captured. he never saw the message because he stayed at the beast town in the forest for 3 months while it rained, then went straight on to millis. Cliff is in millis where paul and rudy are .

This is one of the things I love about Musghoku Tensei! You think they are just bandits that want to kill the little lady. But things are more complicated than it seems. Not gonna deepen in details though. Also, that female knight is a very interesting person too, so watch for her)

to be fair, even RUDY has been warped. Even though hes primarily a mage, hes actually pretty nasty with his swordmanship. think about who his teachers have been. paul, whos advanced in all three sword styles (which is amazing and pretty damned rare) , sword king ghilaine and a 500 year old superd. Plus roxy was his magic teacher and she pretty damned amazing herself. But to rudy, this has just been normal for him. so all his teachers have been incredible. he has an adult mind in a childs body guiding his developement and hes basically constantly fighting on the second nastiest place on the planet for a year and a half. And on top of that rudy has a sharingan :D but rudy thinks himself inferior and so does eris. theres a reason eris was able to wipe out a group of highly trained assasins like they were amatures. she also has the same advantages that rudy has, and also feels inferior. its almost comical. Theres actually a little scene in the LN's later on that shows just how awesome rudy acutally is at hand to hand. at this point you actual forget he's also a swordsman.

nah, because of how they structured the anime, shes basically cut out. maybe she appears later on in the LN's, i didnt read anythign past 15, the web novels are god aweful. i'm just gonna wait for the LN translations. in any case, that at LEAST season 3 and probably more if she appears again. season 2 will be LN 7 -12

Well it seems like Eris is still causing problems. Based on what that maid said, since Cliff’s tutors were killed that meant that conflict with the Templar’s is inevitable. And it seems like the Templar Knights are actually the bad ones.
