So about the nicknames, there were definitely liberties taken by the translator but all of the English names were in the same spirit as the Japanese ones. Some of them would translate over really unnaturally if you were to choose a literal translation. Like Fuwa's was "Manga Maniac" but in Japanese literally it's "This Manga is Amazing". And others are just way funnier if you exercise some creative license, like Maehara's "Crassanova" (a literal translation of the Japanese would be "Womanizing Scumbag").

This anime is more about the development of these kids from being seen as utter trash and a waste of space from everyone around them to finding value and motivation in their lives. It does seem impossible for them to kill Korosensei now, but just keep in mind the progression of where they started and the lessons Korosensei is trying to teach them in the long run :)

When I first watched this episode, I was dying laughing when that tank fell down the stairs like a toy (which it essentially is) after that dramatic presentation. It caught me so off guard lol. Ever since they started watching this show, I was waiting for them to get to this episode due to the codenames and their reactions did not disappoint. I was cracking up when I first heard these names and I'm glad they found them hilarious as well! I also watched this show in the dub and I now realize that some of the names are different in the sub. Some of the dub codenames are more hilarious, but Dennis the Menace took me out! He was not called that in the dub!

Yeah, I watched this show in the dub and I was thinking that the dub nicknames were way funnier. Like Karasuno being called "DA-Densest" and Karma being called "Semi-Senioritis" was just hilarious. It's nice to know that they were in the same spirit as the Japanese ones.
