Roshi at the beginning. “There was a theory in the comments about Murn being a butterfly”. Sheera at the reveal. “I said it as a joke” I pass on it when she throws a hundred theories at the wall and when one sticks it becomes “I KNEW IT”. But this one is just the worst. It came from the comments and Roshi was the one who mentioned it. Not too serious about it but that was blatant

this is my third time watching the ep. 1. by myself 2. with blindwave 3. with yooooooooooooooooo. peacemaker is officially my favorite show CURRENTLY airing. i love the respect dc gives to the comics unlike blahvel. that white dragon costume, vigilante and peacemaker costumes are all spot on. the way they keep talking about characters that are in universe like matter eater lad aka tenzil kem of the legion bka my second favorite dc team after new teen titans (george perez era) sigh SO GOOD! the banter, the humor, the acting and the CHARACTERS! leota, adrian and chris are my fave of the ensemble. ready for those 3 to have an adventure together even if its just having lunch. the dialogue writes itself.

I think that not all the butterflies are bad cause in the case with the first one Peacemaker fought she wasn't planning on doing anything bad to him until she saw the dossier that showed the butterfly they were planning to kill. She probably wanted to get rid of Peacemaker to protect her own kind.

i get what sheera is saying. murn could be a double agent/undercover for the butterflies not just a race traitor killing his own kind. i personally think he is just evil and the butterflies are good people. could be a symbiote like think like with venom or they could be taking over the bodies of only evil people (my main theory) we will see.

They said in a stream that it was early on in their reactions and they weren't used to how toxic some fanbases could be (Overlord) and just stopped watching due to that. I believe they also said they planned to restart or resume it at some point, not sure.

Felt like the weakest episode. The performance and camerawork seemed off, like it was a pilot episode. Were the episodes shot out of order?

I keep feeling that Eagly is a butterfly. He's really smart and does weird things for an eagle, like hugging Peacemaker in ep 1. In this episode he looks like he's trying to break the butterfly free from the jar. And with all Judomaster's talk, well before he was shot and interrupted, maybe the butterflies are not bad after all.

As inhuman as it is, I guess that's how it goes in secret missions. Even Adebayo asks Murn earlier whether she should silence/ kill the couple who met Peacemaker, and I think the only reason he allowed the bribing instead of killing is that they never had a clear view of Peacemaker's face, as he wore his mask at that time. This bodyguard though, he clearly saw Harcourt face, so he needs to be put down.

There might be a Butterfly civil war, and the group of Butterflies Amanda and Murn are dispatching are not necessarily the worst of the species. Maybe it’s something similar to what Boden and Fleck did with the Skrulls for Marvel.

What if there's a secret war of Butterflies taking place on Earth. Hunter butterflies from the Great Rhopalocera Empire exterminating Butterfly refugees on Earth. There's too many on Earth for it not to be a refugee crisis. First episode that I actually felt like I could get invested into this show and its lore.

@Yanpo we've only seen two butterflies in combat and her combat style was definitely consistent with the Senator's cause after Peacemaker got free he started to act more feral, he even did the same shriek as she did.
