Holy shit, watching this season again confirms with me that there's way too much stuff going on.. Too many characters too. I remember feeling like this when it was "airing" on dcuniverse.. oh well, I can always just rewatch the season one reactions.. lmao I'm whelmed.

What i loved about seasons 1 and 2 was that as a non comic reader it eased me into these characters while establishing a rich, complex narrative. Season 3 feels like comic reader fan service tbh, people Ive never seen just appear and do shit lol

@YaBoyRoshi When you guys finish watching this season might I suggest watching the DC Animated Movies I feel like you guys would enjoy them since they go in a watch order similar to the MCU films & it’ll help you understand the characters & lore a little better without having to read the comics.

Yea, 110% they just started throwing in every random DC character they possibly could into this show. It felt like they were maybe trying to flex the whole "DC Universe" angle, because this was one of the first shows that service released. But like, they just throw in character after character, just to have them in there, without ever giving the audience any idea who these people are. If you don't have some encyclopedic grasp of the world, you're just dropped off in the middle of nowhere.

I may be more of a DC fan but personally I liked that they introduced so much without guiding the audience through. That made it feel more comic like to me where you have to read other books to get the full story of an event.

I've rewatched all three seasons recently and this is kind of cap. ALL the seasons introduce characters that they don't expand on in order to make the world feel lived in. They introduced Blue Devil, Icon, Plastic Man, Guy Gardener, half of the Justice League and many other heroes in Season 1, Ted Kord, Jason Todd and others in Season 2 and Orphan, Elongated Man and others on Season 3. It's really not any different than what they've always done. They throw out a lot of random heroes but the ones you're supposed to pay attention to are the ones they are clearly focusing the entire season on (the main Team in s1, Blue Beetle and Impulse in s2, etc)

Sure, but I can sympathize with some people who aren't familiar with comics and would like to have a bit more introduction to some characters rather than them just kind of being thrown at you.

i personally enjoyed s1 and s2 better...cuz there were some random moments in those seasons but it connected very well,i know the comic readers probably enjoyed this season the most but not everyone is a comic reader same way not everyone reads mangas

The problem is that with past seasons, you were watching to see what was going to happen to Blue Beetle or Superboy or Aqualad this week, while any other characters who cameoed were just a bonus. This season, you've just sorta got Halo and Geoforce as the "main focus", both of them usually feel like a subplot more so than something you'd actually watch the show for. So at times it just feels like a parade of characters you don't really care about.

They said the speed force wasn’t discovered yet. They are most likely changing that for Young Justice: Phantoms. And there are lots of Easter eggs in the show about Wally. Knowing DC, they will definitely bring him back, maybe in the crazy version from the new 52

If you have HBO Max you can watch all of the 45 min movies in order to get more knowledge about DC. The art is similar to Young Justice just a lil more quality and the format is like Marvel Phases 1-4.

nah nigga, don't try acting like you weren't trying to make Sheera seem crazy last episode when she said Aquaman, you stared her down like she said some weird shit and then Lupa said "Yeaaa? Ascalad?" Also Sheera is right, Superman saving will work in their favor. Lupa mentioned her name but never really said who she was, Barda is a member of the Justice League and a Rogue New God from planet Apocalypse, she eventually chooses not to serve Darkseid anymore. And before anyone says anything, that's not a spoiler for anything related to this series lol. It's just a random comic book fact

I think they should binge watch Justice League and then Justice League Unlimited. Young Justice is its own story and canon, but it takes enough from Justice League that it feels like a spiritual sequel to it.

I appreciate them trying to bring in all these characters, but I get what people mean when they say it’s too many people with no backstory. Though to be fair, the only reason Roshi and Sheera even question who a character is is cuz Lupa recognizes them and says some shit. Then they’re like “Who’s that?”. If he didn’t always point out every character he recognized without explaining them, it wouldn’t be so confusing lol.
