All kinds of wtf moments

Comments

Andrew shultz

Lol why are they getting clapped up so bad by this show?

Drew Ferguson

Emiya's logic is only facts in certain scenarios but also by his logic you could burn down a house with a family inside to kill a cockroach as long as your goal is to kill the cockroach

Ayan

aye yo wtf is with all these uploads at the same time lmao my phone notifications went crazy

Anonymous

This episode always solidifies Kiritsugu Emiya as one of my favorite characters in this show. He’s the only one that sees that there is no pride in war. Bloodshed is bloodshed and he’s willing to take the hatred of everyone he holds dear and doing horrendous acts if it means getting a chance to end that bloodshed for the future.

KevMath

What a great character Kiritsugu is

Matthew B

green hair lmao

Waka Flocka Flame

Why Sheera keep saying Kiritsugu wants to bring his daughter back like she's dead or something lol.

13

Are they saying Irisviel's daughter died because of the crying scene in the ed?

Alexa

Kiritsigu Emiya is the most savage dude. I love his character

AUO

I agree, i feel so bad for lancer, such a bro. But i really love the moral conflict between saber and kiri, its so well written the dialogue between them. Made me agree with both of them, its the same thing with rider and saber during the grail dialogue

auxag

Yo, Their daughter Illya aint dead, they left her at home. They wernt gonna bring her into this conflict. Kiritsugu and Irisviel want their daughter to grow up in a peaceful world.

Ashe

His daughter isnt dead idk where u got that from lol

Grayson

17:50 Kiritsugu's daughter is not dead lmao, why do you think that

Thamor

Sheera fell for the dimble on Duirmuids face like all the other fiancees/wifes. Roshi watch out Reesha going the path of betrayal :D

Jakob

Their daughter ain't dead, she's back home in Germany

Chris

you all were mad confused this ep and i loved it 😂😂

Ray Ray

This is one of the episodes that I was looking forward to your reactions. So many "awwwww shit!!!" moments. Btw, Kiritsugu isn't trash, he's just wins whatever means necessary type of guy.

Joel Amoa

Rewatching this now, clocking Diarmud say “let the grail be cursed “ 👀

Xavier Ruffin

There daughter is still alive they never said or showed that she died

Sun

Kiritsugu's daugther isn't dead. She's staying at the castle that we saw at the beginning of the series in episode 1 which I assume is at a different country? Not too sure but yeah.

Crow

Idk if its just me but I agree with Kiritsugu 100%

None None

In Kayneth's defense, he went into this war intending to follow the rules. Then Kiritsugu blew up his building. Then he got hit with the "fuck you" bullet when he tried to kill Kiritsugu. Then had his wife torture him so she could run off with another guy. By the time he killed the priest, he was at rock bottom. And even after all that, his faith in his wife is still completely unconditional, to the point where he assumes Lancer was to blame for the torture. He's an asshole, but the dude just got fucked beyond reason.

Charles Darcy

Kiritsugu is a real one

Anonymous

Yo kiritsugu is to badass

Yanpo

War is hell, but rules constraints a lot of that Hell. Sadly, much of the philosophizing in this show is pretty much first year college stuff intro courses. Kiritsugu might be the only one that managed to reach 2nd year with his words in this episode. Specifically about all war being hell. I suppose Saber is pretty advance in recognizing the importance of rules for when there is war. I watch the Fate series mostly cause it's flashy fun. I also enjoy the hypothetical arguments historical and fictional figures would have if they were alive today, Fate/Zero has some of the best art and animation and some fun arguments, but I appreciate the other series more for not trying to be as pretentious as this one.

Malcolm Washingon

Yo everyone else fighting with ideals, but kiritsugu 'murder on my mind" emiya the only one out her putting up numbers on the board. Him and Maiya(which she follows all his orders so she effectively an extension of his will) killed caster master, lancer, kayneth, and Sola. And he also major reason y caster got killed cuz they had no plan til he gave them one on the phone and saber was not gonna tell them she could one shot caster if her arm healed. Emiya "by any means necessary" kiritsugu only one out here with a body count. Only other person to wreck someone has been Iskandar. And that was self defense. Emiya "fuck you" kiritsugu out here playing for keeps

Scott Riley Adrueno

Kayneth may be an asshole, but he followed the rules up to the point of killing the priest (he's down to the last straw) and his love and loyalty to Sola-Ui was so strong he was willing to believe she's under Lancer's charms and caused her to torture him. I mean he also sacrificed his honor, his family's honor, and the right to fight for the grail just to save his fiance. He's a dick, but he's not an "evil" dick.

Gurnoor Sekhon

Saber keeps getting put in her place.

Deric Jackson

Damn bro, Lancer just had it rough since the start. His whole reincarnation was just tragic

Matthew B

Because the author who wrote fate zero hated her character. He's not the same author of the original fate stay night. And she is not the same in fate stay night.

Anonymous

their daughter illyasviel is still alive, she is at the einzbern castle

Viela Guay

Ironically Kayneth was probably Lancer's best chance at having an honorable, rule following Master besides maybe Waver. Like you said, it's just that he got singled out by the most rule breaking (in terms of magi combat) master and it was all downhill from there

G. B.

The argument presented by kiritsugu is that any war or killing is wrong, and with the grail he can stop them, even reverse anything he does to get it. You disagree, and think any discussion opposed your view is pretentious? That sounds more like first year college student philosophy to me tbh.

kurumi Tokisaki

“Stand amongst the ashes of a trillion dead souls, and ask the ghosts if honor matters. The silence is your answer.” ...but forreal most if not all species murder each other. We as humans just put rules to it.

錦源 劉

Was it ever stated formally that the writer hated her character? Personally I dont see it that way. SPOILER ALERT. Her wish in Fate/Zero was to be able to save Britain from ruin, but in Stay/Night she wishes she never tried to pull the sword from the stone in the first place. I feel like Zero makes a good argument for how she ended up wanting a wish like that, fleshs out her character, and also explains Gilgameshs unusual attatchment to her all in one.

Dune

Yeah you really can only feel bad for lancer in this episode. He didn't get his wish in life or in death and he was essentially betrayed in life and in death. Seeing how he normally is and then the change here where his eyes are so filled with anger and rage is wild.

Carmelo Cintron Rosa

17:43 Sheera "To bring his daughter back" Us "time to clap em in the comments"

Big Juls

Kiri is a beast yo, perfect anti-hero

Anonymous

I don't know about that. Caster and his master, Ryusonsuke "Fuck Dem Kids" Uryu, got quite a bit of body counts off those little shits. lol

Skebaba

The Virgin Diarmuid vs the Chad Cu Chulainn (you know which video clip I'm talking about)

Skebaba

Yes, the Einzbern estate is in Germany (like no shit, it's in the name, no?), which is the estate we saw at the start of Episode 1, before they came to Japan 5 years later or w/e

Shaw

I feel so bad for Lancer.

Anonymous

Please react to Castlevania the final season is coming very soon!

Viela Guay

Smh they were just farming low level mobs to boost their K/D

Ginzo

Even hands get the double tap.

artisticSarcasm

Thaaat was some of the coldest shit I've seen in an anime. Damn

Cjay26

Lol you're a moron. No year of college determines any of what you said. You could say this shit in highschool or as a mf with a Ph.D lol stop it

Anonymous

Not to mention waver stole his original heroic sprit so the dude had it rough from the beginning

What an episode Seeing the clash of ideologies between Artoria & Kiritsugu is actually well done because you can honestly make a point for both sides

Arc

Ya'll seem to forget Kiritsugu is known for public bombings and other atrocities.

Jolu

Like he said when he bombed the hotel he is soft now compared with his old ways.

Spofeyy

guys their daughter is still alive, we saw her at the beginning of episode 2

JsnSkg

This kind of reminds me of Ghost of Tsushima, how Sakai Jin went against the samurai ideals of "honor" in order to protect the island from the Mongols. His uncle was big mad, but he's pretty much like, "I regret nothing. We would all be dead if I didn't go to such lengths." It's not exactly the same, but the concept of honor vs. efficiency/survival is present in both situations.

Jaime Ruiz

Jin had it correctly. His Uncle was a relic of the past, and era that strove to be honorable but history shows that Samurai were anything but. They were horrible people most of the time, just like Knights for the europeans.

Lola

Emiya gave me Lelouch vibe for some reason

Rami Homsi

This is one of those episodes (like the Grail Dialogue episode) where both philosophies presented makes sense. Largely I agree with Saber, because so long as war exists then there needs to be rules and laws (or, in her time an Code of Honor) to make sure the horror is contained; this is why we have the Geneva Conventions, definitions of war crimes, and as much prevention as we can possibly get against genocide or indiscriminate killings of civilians. Just because war is inherently evil, does not mean that you should make it as bad as possible. However, in the context of what's happening in the show, Kiritsugu's point of view makes a lot of sense. If a few sacrifices and moral compromises is all it takes to ensure a peaceful world for the end of time then it might be worth it. That being said, his philosophy starts to fall apart alittle bit because at a certain point, you have to determine how many sacrifices is too many for the benefit of the greater good. The show talks about this limitation of his POV later in the show. Overall, there is very good reason why this episode is considered one of the best in the series

Aziouss

Oh shit i just realized. This is the moment that fucked everything up. Lancer cursed the grail in his death that is why it distorted the wish in such a way!!!

ok

i think they never knew. it said damn near the first episode he was the type to shoot down an airliner if one of his targets were on there. but they were surprised when he did the hotel bombing so idk

Kwaku Afari

Ya'll forgot who Maiya is lol?

Drake Rage

Emiya Kiritsugu straight up pulled a Godfather level move right there. Moved to the side, lit up his cigarette and let the Sniper do her thing. It is funny that Roshi called him trash because he is the MC of Fate Zero, and probably my favorite character in the series. It is crazy how deep the conversations get everytime they get philosophical in the show, it is so nuanced and filled with Grey. When Rider talked crap about Saber when they were drinking, you want to disagree with Rider but you just can't because he is spitting facts. Same with Emiya Kiritsugu here, seeing what he just did, you instinctively want to disagree with him but you can't because he is spitting facts, lol. I Love this Series.

Brandon

omg when he cursed them saying that he hopes whatever they wish will bring despair that made the Grail evil and pouring out all evil and pain.
