Rudeus actually hired people to renovate the house, there was a timeskip of a few weeks before he brought Sylphie to see it. There's no magic for that. The anime skipped most of the chapter where that happens, which is a shame, but while a fun read, it's not exactly necessary. MIGHT be briefly mentioned next episode. He also gave Ariel's (Asuran Princess) and Badigadi's (that 6-armed Demon King) names as guarantors when buying the house, causing the price to get halved on top of the whole "haunted" business and dilapidated state. That's how Sylphie found out what Rudeus is doing: obviously Ariel and thus Sylphie would hear of it. Ariel had given Rudeus permission to use her name if needed. IIRC he's tossing a death flag on purpose at 9:54 because nothing was happening. Then went "wait, y'all joining in?" At the end, he assumes the concept doesn't exist here when Sylphie asks him not to disappear again.

The show doesn’t really have scaling for all we know man god keeps him from any real danger orsted still outclasses him I never pretended he didn’t I just said that Rudy has become more refined to the point that it could maybe not end in one blow but given his ptsd he’d definitely need another serious buff or power up from some outside force to feel good enough to actually even fight him I’m speaking as a anime only watcher and I don’t feel like Rudy is that crazy far behind him when it comes to magic he could maybe at least damage him now

So for those that missed it at the start of the episode just before Rudy prays to the sacred relic you see the bed sheets with a square hole in them, you then see Rudy add a small square box to the mantle where the relic is. Fast forward to the end where Rudy is recapping his first time with Sylphie there is a small patch of blood on the bedding in the same place the patch was at the beginning of the episode…I’ll leave you to work out the rest

If you don't want to get spoiled about any rankings in power in the verse as of now don't click Currently rudeus doesn't even make it in the top 25 in the verse let alone 50 even because of a lack of experience and training. If Badigadi who's the demon king he one shotted actually fought him, he would be dead because he doesn't have anything other than firepower with no defense and speed. Quite literally a glass cannon that would get blitzed by orsted immediately. Also, even if Rudy is able to pierce orsted fighting spirit, he did literally no damage at all and even if he had prep in the spell like he did with badigadi and was able to hit orsted, orsted would just tank it because he's that busted.

The writing in this show is absolutely insane in a good way. Depicting a former bum who's terribly socially-adjusted from his past as worshipping women is crazy, but actually makes a lot of sense when you think about it. Dude is in another world, talking to a woman he could only dream about in his past life, and has entered into a romantic era with her. It makes sense his euphoria and love is so off-the-charts that it enters into fanatical worship territory. This writer is just unparalleled, holy shit.
