Hey shiny people ^o^

Since some of you may not be aware that I'm working on a comic, I thought I'd provide more updates about it.

Here's the progress report:

  1. The line work for 17 pages is complete.
  2. The text is now fully color-coded, but it still requires a bit of proofreading.
->Translations are also in the works; there will be a German version, a probably basic French version, and we might attempt to persuade some folks for a Spanish one XD.
  3. The first page is now colored.
I experimented with textures and shading, figuring out the right balance. To expedite the process, I opted for more painted, simplified backgrounds using textures only very rarely.
For the shading of the normal outfits and skin and so on: one base color, one shadow, and perhaps a highlight. Only latex receives the real shiny treatment, as you can see in her collar. While later pages will feature much more latex, that requires so much more shading time, but there's no way around it since latex is the best =D.

Now that I've settled on the coloring style, I face a big decision: should I finish the pages one by one, or work in stages, like doing all the backgrounds for all pages, then all the hair, and so on? Right now, I'm leaning toward page by page, as it's less repetitive and allows me to update the progress with finished pages rather than generic updates like "all the skin is done."

For those unfamiliar with where to find these pages, check your Dropbox folder for the "comic WIP.web" file and click on it.
A new tab will open that has two folders, one for the finished pages and one for the line work.

That leaves me to wish you all a very Merry Christmas!
