Hello everybody I hope everyone's New Year is going well! Gather around; it's time for some big news and project updates! For those who don't know, outside of doing kinky horror games, I'm a pharmacy manager. It's a pretty stressful and demanding position where the work weeks are long and burnout is common. Due to this, it was extremely difficult to accomplish anything outside of work. However, as of last week, I have stepped down into a new position as an oncology pharmacist. This means that from now on, I only need to work two shifts a week.

What does that mean for Bondco, Inc.? It means I can dedicate most of my time to making games, something I have been wanting to do for a very long time. I'm ecstatic that I've been giving this opportunity, and it's all thanks to everyone supporting my games and constantly giving me words of encouragement. I don't think I would have made it through the last few years the way I did without the levels of optimism everyone has shown me, so I just wanted to say thank you for everything. But enough rambling about personal sh*t, let's talk about what everyone came here for: project updates and the road map for the year.

*End-of-year project: Late Checkout*

Firstly, an update on Late Checkout, the main project I'll be working on throughout the year. Lots of things have changed since I last posted a demo, mainly a lot of artwork and new gameplay systems. However, a lot of this I want to test before I post an updated version, so it'll be a couple of months before I'm ready to post a new version of it. While we wait for that, I want to create a couple of shorter projects that test these systems and help me optimize them. How am I going to do that? Let's take a look!

*Current Project: The Curious Case of the Missing Nurses*

Something I've really enjoyed in the gaming community is what's called a "game jam." Basically, a game jam is where game developers make short projects in order to practice their skills and learn new techniques, which is exactly what I'm hoping to do with projects in between now and Late Checkout's next release. This not only allows me to take breaks from projects so I can come back with a clearer head, but it also allows me to test new mechanics out to see what everybody likes. My first project like this will be called "The Curious Case of the Missing Nurses" and is what I'll be posting today with hopes of finishing by the end of March.

The Curious Case of the Missing Nurses stars a feisty red head named Layla Walsh as she attempts to escape a nightmarish Undertow version of the hospital she works at and save her friend Ada Hong. In order to escape, she has to recruit the help of a monster inside the Undertow called Tiana. However, after a run-in with an evil woman, Tiana has lost most of her power, and these two need to work together in order to escape, find their friends, and stop the person behind all the missing nurses in the area. I'll be using the feedback from this project and applying it to Late Checkout and other games, so don't hesitate to share your thoughts! The link is at the bottom of this post along with the password.

As of right now, you can access all the game overs in the CG gallery area, but all of that is just a placeholder. By the next version, you won't see them until you unlock them, and I'll be overhauling that entire area. There are missing parts of the story at the moment, so some scenes will be a little jumpy, but I'll hopefully have that finished by the next version.

*Past projects and minor notes*

Now that I'm moving forward with a concrete game plan, I wanted to start fresh. So the only project I'll be working on from my past projects will be Hostage Hotel, which will go into production after late checkout. I'll also be fixing the bugs with the residents of Evilville, of course, but that will be pretty much it. It's depressing to have to scrap projects I once loved, but that's how the cookie crumbles, and I'm not going to spend time working on something I don't think I can bring any life to. In addition to that, my Patreon/Deviantart/Twitter/Pixiv pages need to be cleaned up, so I'll be purging old art and organizing everything. I'll also be working on better organizing my Discord since that's kind of a mess too ;p

I hope everyone has an amazing day, and I look forward to seeing you guys more often from now on. Peace!

As someone who came here from hostage hotel I'm really happy you'll be able to return to it, hopefully soon I'll have more income to be able to offer more support, glad you're doing okay

Abruptlee

So now you have more time to fix bugs in ROE 😏

Hostage Hotel was my introduction to the Bondcoverse so I'm stoked for that. Really enjoying Missing Nurses so far as well and I'm hoping you're enjoying your current work/life balance.

It’s so nice just having some free time beyond work/gym/girlfriend. Absolutely stoked on what I have planned for Hostage Hotel as well!

Just enjoying my games is enough support! Happy you really liked it :)
